Although Assad has fallen, the tragedies in Syria continue. The Syrian National Army, a Turkish proxy force, has captured the city of Manbij and aims to storm Kobane next.

Turkey intends to conquer all Rojava and carry out ethnic cleansing there.

In 2014, with the tacit support of the Turkish government, the Islamic State took over most of northern Syria, carrying out massacres as they gained ground. In the town of Kobane, locals managed to halt their advance only a few miles from the Turkish border.

Now, Kobane is at risk once again.

In Rojava, multiethnic militias including anarchist volunteers from around the world did most of the fighting and dying in the struggle against the Islamic State. Now the international community is preparing to look away while they are massacred.

We must not let this happen. As in 2019—the last time Turkey mounted a major offensive against Rojava—solidarity actions are urgently needed.

Good Idea: Unity

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-main-ingredient/202407/stop-fighting-and-embrace-the-power-of-unity

Being faced with exploitation and injustice, often leads to thoughts of violent action against the powerful, such as targeting a shrewd CEO. However, while individual actions may seem noble, true change requires unity among all lower classes, transcending divisions created by culture wars. These culture battles often serve to distract from the more critical issue: the exploitation of workers and the imbalance of power.
Importantly, we do not need idols like Robin Hood, Luigi Mangione, Greta Thunberg, Che Guevara or whoever you adore, onto whom we project our ideals and hopes, because perfection does not exist, and we will always be disappointed by flawed leaders.

If we unite in collective struggle, we may discover alternatives to violence, where solidarity, organization, and mutual support create pathways for systemic change that benefit all, not just a few.
