Good Idea: Direct Action at the Workplace

Direct action in the workplace is about workers finding creative ways to disrupt an employer's profits while still holding their jobs. Instead of relying on long strikes, workers can use use their collective power to push for better conditions. While some of these actions may be considered unlawful, they have often been effective in bringing about real change for workers.
Slowdown: Working at a reduced pace to cut productivity.
Work to Rule: Following every workplace rule to the letter, causing inefficiencies.
Good Work Strike: Offering better services to customers without charging them, affecting the employer's profits.
Sitdown Strike: Stopping work but staying on-site to prevent replacement workers from taking over.
Whistle Blowing: Exposing unethical practices to the public to gain support.
Sick-In: Calling in sick en masse to disrupt operations without formally striking.
