Whether it is chopping down trees (non-human animal's houses) to make way for houses (when the 5+ homes per rich person lie dormant) or the domestication (enslavement) of entire species for the sake of eating them and drinking from them, what good has our so-called "civilization" caused but at best attempting to right the wrongs it caused in the first place? What has it done but mercilessly exterminated those humans and non-humans alike it has colonized and enslaved? When will we have dug deep enough that the leisure of a few is worth the millions and billions of corpses it has produced? How much plastic needs to be in our children's bloodstream before those in power seriously consider the alternatives? How high do the temperatures and oceans have to be? How many bombs drop in Gaza, how many dead in Sudan, before we fucking do something?

When is it enough to say this isn't working?

Accidentally found a "conservative druid" page on Facebook. That is, perhaps, the greatest oxymoron I have seen in a hot minute. I wish the thing they were conserving was nature and not a set of post-colonial English Christian values unrelated to Druidry.

It seems the faeries have found the channel and given their approval. How lovely.

But it does raise up the question, who DOES run the Druidposting channel? Many who are subscribers to the channel and friends of mine don't know they know me. Quite frankly, I think an admin reveal would ruin the experience. It might be that Druidposting is run by a faery, or 2-3 faeries in a trenchcoat, or Gandalf the Grey, or just an old wrinkle of a person probably too old for this app. And it might be just as well that nobody knows. It is better, I think, for the message of practicing the Old Faith, of protecting the planet, of caring for all its inhabitants, plant, animal, or otherwise, that it be faceless. If there is no face to the message, you can just as easily put your own face on it. And in the end, shouldn't you?

I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues to speak for themselves.
