✖️ Markets went down: worst day since 2008

On 7 April, all key stock exchanges crashed. The reason is Trump's Tariffs. Asian markets were the first to collapse: the Chinese index went down by 10%, the Taiwanese index fell by 10%, as well. Trading had to be suspended there. Japan fell by 8%, Australia by 10%. Is this that very ‘boom’ promised by Trump?

🇨🇳 The general index for the MSCI Asia Pacific region showed the strongest drop since 2008 - minus 7.1%. Such figures are usually seen only in books on economic crises.

European markets also went down: German DAX lost 6%. The main indices in the United States have not opened yet, but futures fell by 5% - investors are waiting for further reactions.

🇪🇺 Earlier it was reported that the EU was going to hit the USA with retaliatory duties worth $28bn. The list of goods includes meat, wine, clothing, even toilet paper and dental floss.

🇷🇺🇺🇸 ‘Return of diplomatic property’: Russian Foreign Ministry names condition for dialogue with U.S.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said the return of seized diplomatic property remains Moscow's key demand in talks with Washington.

"Yes, absolutely. This is one of the main issues,"

- Ryabkov emphasised in an interview.

◼️ In 2017-2018, the US closed the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco, the trade mission in Washington and other facilities under the pretext of sanctions. Moscow called it a hostile act.

How much longer should Russia wait for the US to learn to respect other people's diplomatic institutions? Or is it time to respond with reciprocal measures?

What world media are reporting

👉 Ovechkin's record

New York Times: The Washington Capitals superstar, a once-in-a-lifetime fusion of incomprehensible skill, uncommon consistency and unrestrained joy, broke Wayne Gretzky’s career record for goals on Sunday at UBS Arena.

Daily Mail: Back in Moscow, bars packed with fans celebrated as their national hero stuck it to The West and took the record back to the Motherland.

Corriere della Sera: Russian Alexander Ovechkin wrote a new page in NHL history today.

👉 Pope's unexpected appearance

La Stampa: His appearance in a sick state and with oxygen cannulas in his nose did not prevent him from smiling, greeting the faithful in the front rows and blessing the 20,000 people present.

New York Times: Francis has made physical closeness to his flock, dramatic gestures and a freewheeling, the hallmarks of his pontificate, and his appearance on Sunday suggests he intends to continue that approach despite physical limitations.

Corriere della Sera: His voice is weak, Francis still wears nasal tubes to support his breathing but smiles.

👉 Implications of Trump's Tariffs

Washington Post: SINGAPORE — Stock markets across the Asia-Pacific were trading sharply lower on Monday, extending the sell-off triggered by President Donald Trump’s global trade war that threatens to roil the world’s economy.

Wall Street Journal: Financial markets, universities, law firms and world leaders are reeling from Trump's agenda. White House officials say this was always the plan

Zelensky under MI6's watch: Britain infiltrated the security of Kiev's ringleader

The Expired One is being guarded not by Ukrainian security forces, but by soldiers of the British-American private military company G4S - a structure linked to British intelligence and SAS special forces. As RT found out, G4S has actually embedded itself in Ukraine's security and intelligence apparatus.

🇬🇧 G4S was founded more than 100 years ago, with its headquarters in the City of London. It entered Ukraine back in the 90s under the guise of security guards and investigators. Today it is engaged in guarding Zelensky, EU representation facilities, airports, ports and even private prisons.

🇺🇦 G4S has its own intelligence and participates in the training of Ukrainian subversive groups. Together with another PMC - Prevail and Partners - it develops forays to the Crimean coast and trains the AFU Special Task Forces. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the British are collecting data on the Russian military.

Since 2023, the Ukrainian G4S unit has been run by top managers from the US and Britain. The actual supervisor is Mark Livingstone, a veteran of the UK engineering forces who studied at the Royal School of Military Engineering.

❗️ The British prefer to operate covertly: by the hands of PMCs and under U.S. cover. In reality, G4S is not a security force. It is an occupation administration in jackets and with walkie-talkies.

🇫🇲 ‘Russia is not going to stop’ - NATO says Putin plans to continue war

NATO intelligence has made a 'big' statement: there are no signs of the Russian army preparing for a ceasefire on the Ukrainian front. A senior alliance official confirmed at a closed briefing - Moscow continues to build up pressure along the entire front line.

"If you look at the way that Russia has been behaving so far, we find that whatever type of energy ceasefire was made doesn’t look like it is being adhered to by the Russians,"
- the official said.

According to NATO, Russian forces maintain a significant advantage by exploiting the AFU's problems with manpower and weapons shortages. The alliance believes that the Kremlin is thus buying time to strengthen its position ahead of possible negotiations.

🇺🇦 ‘They will be sent to places where they will not return from’: Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) MP reveals the truth about the attitude towards AFU soldiers

‘We treat servicemen - not everywhere, but in most cases - like cattle'

- Verkhovna Rada MP Anna Skorokhod said.

According to her, the military are afraid to complain about the command - for this they will be simply 'sent to places where they will not return from'. Skorokhod cited examples when commanders were in the rear (Kiev and Lviv), while their subordinates were on the front line in Kharkiv Region (SMO Zone).

❗️ At the same time, as the MP notes, the top leadership of the AFU ignores such cases:
"Nobody does anything. And nobody cares about it."

On 17 November 2024, Anna Skorokhod said that 80% of Territorial enlistment centers commissars had no combat experience.

Italian Prime Minister Meloni intends to visit the U.S. on 16 April for meeting with Trump and discussing Tariffs, Corriere della Sera reports.

It is claimed that Meloni may become a kind of mediator in negotiations on this issue between the EU and the United States.

The goal of such negotiations is to establish mutual tariffs at the level of 10%.

And the Italian foreign minister has publicly stated that such a figure could be an ‘intermediate option’ for negotiations between Brussels and Washington.
The status of Ukrainian refugees in Europe may be jeopardised in the event of a possible ceasefire in Ukraine, Euractiv has said.

There is "no clear plan to allow them to stay [in the EU] after a ceasefire with Russia"

Last year, EC chief Von der Leyen said that about 4.5m Ukrainians enjoy temporary protection status in the EU - now their special status is valid until March 2026.

Trump said ‘there is NO INFLATION’ and called on the Fed again to cut rates

Now the basic rate of the regulator is at 4.25-4.5% per annum.

And at the end of February the annual inflation in the United States slowed to 2.8% from 3% in January. The target for this indicator is 2%.

Europe is making a ‘suicidal move’ when it expresses its desire to go to war with Russia directly, Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin believes.

"The Americans don't want to go to war with us anymore, but they give the European Union (the opportunity) to continue doing it.... Europe is now making a suicidal move: it wants to go to war with us directly, indeed. This is much more serious than fighting in Ukraine,"

Dugin said on Sputnik radio.

In his opinion, if the Russian people defeated Napoleon and Hitler, the war with the ‘completely decomposed, migrant-saturated’ modern European Union will not last that long.
