💨 Pathfinder 1 Airship Takes Flight with FAA Approval
Google co-founder Sergey Brin's ambitious airship, Pathfinder 1 →, has received clearance from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
LTA Research, the company founded by Brin, aims to revolutionize air transportation for humanitarian and cargo missions. With a length of 122 meters, the carbon fiber airship will undergo extensive testing and low-level flights to establish its flight envelope.
The ultimate goal is to utilize Pathfinder 1 for inaccessible areas and provide crucial support during humanitarian operations. The airworthiness certificate is valid for one year, but LTA expects to complete the test program within 180 days.
