The game's graphics were turned into black and white pixels, and these pixels were then put into action through the activation of fluorescent proteins in the bacteria.
While working on the study, it was found out that it takes about 70 minutes for the complete process of outputting an image to a cellular display, and 8.33 hours to return to its original state. This means that it would take 599 years to run Doom on cells, according to this simulation.

Apple tops → the list of the world's most valuable brands. According to the Brand Finance Global 500 ranking, the corporation's value increased by 74% over the year, reaching $516.6 billion. Interestingly, in the previous year's ranking, Apple held the second spot. However, the revenue growth for the iPhone maker hasn't been super fast, only going up by 2% to $119.6 billion in the first quarter of the 2024 fiscal year.
Microsoft secures the second spot on the most valuable brands list, jumping two places with a 78% increase in value to $340.4 billion.
Google claims the third position, maintaining its spot and showing a 19% value increase to $333.4 billion over the year.
