👍 Everything’s Just Fine

Sony’s president, Hiroki Totoki, insists that the pricing of the PlayStation 5 Pro hasn’t dampened demand:

Many people made comments [about pricing], but the PS5 Pro’s price had no negative impact.

However, scalpers have hit an unexpected snag this time around. Unlike previous releases, PS5 Pro demand appears to be more subdued, forcing some resellers to part with their stock below retail price.

— On eBay UK, listings for the PS5 Pro are popping up below the official £700 retail price.

— Some sellers are even offloading consoles for between £680 and £700, with a few dipping as low as £510 to £670, according to VGC.

Analysts suggest that this rare twist signals a balanced supply from Sony, keeping the PS5 Pro readily available and scalper woes at an all-time high.
