Two test NFT collections of Telegram usernames have appeared on the Getgems website. Durov’s Code found that the mint of the first NFT-usenames started on 11 October.
The first collection called “Telegram usernames” consists of 24 usernames, such as erevan.t.me and mmm.t.me. All of them are currently unavailable for purchase.
We have only found 1 NFT username in the debug collection. The test buying and selling of Telegram usernames is provided by a wallet, which the TON Explorer service marks as a Telegram Team.

German Ministry of Justice has looked into Telegram’s activities in Germany and found out that… there has been no activity at all.
No authorized representative of Telegram has ever set foot in the European country, so there has never existed a mechanism for handling complaints about illegal content, as well as a direct channel of information.
The German authorities considered this to be a violation of the Social Media Measures Act. The Ministry states that Telegram has ignored its requirements. A law firm representing Telegram protested such claims.
As a result, Telegram has been fined 4.25 million euros for not providing legally appropriate reporting channels in 2021 and 2022. The messenger was also fined 875,000 euros for the absence of an authorized representative.
