Job Title: HSE Site Coordinator
Location: Dubai
Reports to: Construction Manager & Global HSE Manager

Job Purpose To coordinate, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across the two jack-up rig conversion projects in the UAE shipyards. The HSE Coordinator will ensure compliance with company and regulatory HSE requirements, support safe execution of fabrication and installation activities, promote a proactive safety culture, and act as a key interface with the global HSE function.
Key Responsibilities HSE Site Coordination
· Monitor and verify implementation of company and yard HSE policies across all work fronts and contractors.
· Conduct daily and periodic HSE inspections, ensuring fabrication, hot work, lifting, confined space entry, and scaffolding activities comply with safety procedures.
· Ensure correct usage and condition of PPE, safety signage, and emergency equipment at work areas.
Incident Prevention & Investigation
· Support near-miss, unsafe act/condition reporting and tracking.
· Lead or assist in incident investigations and RCA (Root Cause Analysis); ensure follow-up of corrective/preventive actions.
· Participate in regular safety walkthroughs with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives.
Interface & Compliance
· Act as site focal point between yard HSE, contractor teams, and project construction leads.
· Liaise with the Global HSE Manager to ensure alignment of reporting, compliance audits, and safety campaigns with corporate expectations.
· Support HSE documentation control, including audits, inspection logs, permit registers, and training records.
Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum 10–15 years of experience in HSE roles within shipyard, fabrication yard, or offshore oil & gas projects.
· Demonstrated background in offshore structure fabrication, welding inspections, and high-risk construction environments.
· Proven experience in UAE yards or similar international fabrication environments
· Familiarity with ISO 45001, OSHA standards, PTW systems, and emergency response procedures. Certifications
· HSE-related diploma or technical certification – required.
· Valid BOSIET and offshore medical – preferred or to be obtained.
· H2S, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, and Fire Watch – preferred.
Mobility & Working Conditions
· Full-time yard-based role in Dubai
· Flexible to work extended hours and weekends during peak construction phases.
· Occasional interface with global HSE team (remote and in-person).
