We’ve upgraded the Friend Game mode and fixed a board bug 👇

👤 Friend Game changes

Quick Tutorial now introduces the Friend Game. Here’s a recap:

• 1 game = 1 point, +3 points for each unique friend invited
• Games under 20 moves don’t earn points
• You can earn points in up to 10 games with the same opponent. Games after that won’t give more points

➕ How to invite friends:
In chat or DMs, type @edchess_bot, add a space, choose a time control, and wait for your opponent.

❗️IMPORTANT!
Any system abuse or cheating in Friend Games will lead to a ban. Play fair to get on the leaderboard! We’ve already banned several violators and removed their points.

🔢 Board bug fixed

Last season’s Puzzle Pass board was accidentally available to players who didn’t purchase Premium. That board will be removed from non-Premium accounts, BUT we’ll make it up to you later. Premium players rightfully earned their exclusive item 😎 Stay tuned for updates!

⚡️ We ran more tournaments

In 2025, tournaments became regular and diverse, from free entry to legendary series. We added winstreaks, custom tournaments, stronger moderation, and live-updating leaderboards.

🔎 We added puzzles and quests

EdChess is no longer just about matches. We launched daily chess puzzles with rewards, $TON quests, tournaments with built-in tasks, and regular challenges in select modes.

✅ We launched Puzzle Pass

Puzzle Pass became one of the key updates of the year. It’s a two-week chess challenge with tasks, fixed and random rewards every other day, and a big final prize. The most persistent players earn a $TON chest and a new board style.

🗳 We made easy Telegram invites

Now you can invite friends to a game straight from Telegram. Active invites have their own leaderboard and rewards, making chess on Telegram even more fun and social.

⭐️ We expanded token features

We introduced purple $TON to boost player activity. New players can top up using TG Stars, and balances can now be funded with $USDT and $NOT, automatically converted to $TON.

💼 We teamed up with major partners

In 2025, EdChess grew stronger through partnerships with EMCD, Bitpapa, and other projects that share our crypto and chess mindset. We hosted more joint tournaments, events, and streams with chess creators.
