Formally, online gambling in Russia is prohibited — Federal Law No. 244 allows gambling only in special zones. But in reality, as of 2025, about 20 million Russians (every seventh resident!) regularly play online casinos.
80% are men, most often aged 25–44.
The most active group — 31–40 years old, with an average deposit of ~₽10,500.
89% play via mobile (75% Android / 25% iOS).
Top cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk.
Women lean toward slots, roulette, and bingo.
Men prefer poker, sports betting, and live dealer games.
Players face no criminal or administrative liability.
But risks exist: from blocked payouts to unscrupulous operators.
So, the typical Russian online casino player is a man with higher education, working in office jobs, sales, IT, or business, with an income at or above average — and willing to spend regularly on online casinos.
Disclaimer: Online casinos in Russia are illegal. Playing may result in financial losses and gambling addiction.

Since September 1, Russia has fully enforced a law prohibiting advertising on blocked social networks — such as Instagram* and Facebook*. Now any promo post, story, reel, or integration with even a hint of commercial content is banned. And yes, fines are real — from 2,000 to 500,000 RUB depending on your status.
Because foreign IT companies refused to comply with Roskomnadzor’s requirements:
— store Russian users’ data on local servers;
— remove prohibited content;
— block illegal resources.
— Instagram* and Facebook* are recognized as extremist and banned.
— LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Viber, Discord, and WhatsApp are restricted.
— YouTube and TikTok remain technically available but come with “slowdowns” and ad risks.
And it’s not just Russia: in September, Nepal also introduced restrictions on several social platforms, while Greece is preparing a law limiting social media access for users under 16.
If you run a business or create content, make sure your social channels don’t contain ad integrations, promo codes, links, or reposts related to banned resources. Old posts can stay, but avoid resharing or promoting them.
*Instagram and Facebook are recognized as extremist organizations and banned in the Russian Federation.

SiGMA Europe is almost here — and if you’re packing your bags, here’s your short but complete checklist to make sure you don’t forget a thing (or end up in a last-minute panic).
Tested by experience — even seasoned attendees will find it useful
— Passport (valid for at least 3 months after your trip)
— Visa or residence permit (if required)
— Travel insurance — mandatory for EU entry
The conference takes place at Rome Exhibition Center (Fiera di Roma).
From Fiumicino Airport — just 10–15 minutes:
— By train: FL1 line to Fiera di Roma (departures from Tiburtina, Ostiense, Tuscolana, or directly from Fiumicino).
— By bus: ATAC lines 808, 089, 701, 701L, and Cotral go straight to the venue.
— By car: Exit 30 (GRA ring road) toward Fiumicino — 8,000+ parking spaces.
— By taxi: around €25–35. Uber and IT Taxi both work well.
SiGMA will soon publish info about official shuttles to and from the venue — stay tuned for updates.
Badge pickup opens for pre-registration on November 3, 9:00–17:00, right at Fiera di Roma.
— Expect long queues on the main day.
— Pre-reg day = calm networking and a glass of prosecco
— Wi-Fi at conferences usually dies in 10 minutes — don’t rely on it.
— Save your Telegram and LinkedIn QR codes as your phone wallpaper — just in case.
— Tip: set up an eSIM in advance (Airalo, Holafly, Saily, Ubigi) — cheaper and more stable than local options.
— You can also grab a SIM card at Rome airport — the cards are often free; you only pay for the plan.
Business cards — lots of them:
— For when the internet goes down (and it will).
— For giveaways: every booth raffles off something — from headphones to MacBooks. Drop your card to enter.
Clothing:
— Light daytime outfits + an extra layer for the evening (Rome in November = +18°C day / +10°C night).
— Comfortable shoes — miles of booths and afterparties ahead.
— Define 3 clear talking points: what you sell, what you need, and how you bring value.
— Don’t lose momentum after meeting someone — follow up instantly via Telegram or LinkedIn.
— Don’t be shy — record a quick Story or “circle” with new contacts. It helps people remember you
— Go through your contacts and set priorities while they’re still fresh.
— Send follow-ups — short, relevant, and with a hook for the next step.
— Note who replied — that’s your real, active base.
— Log everything into your CRM and keep in touch — SiGMA ends, deals begin.
— And of course, drop us a line at 3SNET — together we’ll turn it all into profit
