In an aggressive step that falls within the framework of the Zionist enemy’s conspiracies against our Islamic nation, the Israeli enemy has announced its recognition of the Somaliland region as an entity separate from Somalia. This hostile stance targets Somalia and its African surroundings, and also targets Yemen, the Red Sea, and the countries on both shores of the Red Sea.

This aggressive Zionist move aims to establish a foothold in Somalia to target the region, and also seeks to fragment the countries of the region under a plan that is not limited to Somalia alone. Rather, its openly declared noscript is “changing the Middle East.” All of this is something our entire nation must confront in every possible way.

The Israeli enemy’s declaration in itself is false and has no value whatsoever in the balance of truth or law. It is an act of aggression with aggressive objectives and a hostile agenda, coming from an occupying entity that lacks legitimacy for itself—so how could it possess legitimacy to grant it to others?

However, the Israeli enemy will work behind this move to expand the circle of recognition and cooperation with it by other parties and countries. It seeks to turn the Somaliland region into a foothold for hostile activities against Somalia, African countries, Yemen, and Arab countries, in a manner that threatens the security of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. It will also work toward further fragmentation and disintegration of other countries in the same way it has pursued in Somalia.

In response to this Zionist aggression against Somalia and the region, we emphasize the following:

The necessity for the Arab and Islamic position to be firm and serious in standing alongside Somalia, supporting the Somali people, thwarting the Israeli enemy’s schemes, and exerting pressure on the traitors collaborating with it in the Somaliland region. This also includes taking action at the international level and adopting a firm stance within all international institutions in support of Somalia.

We affirm our steadfast position alongside the brotherly Somali people against the Israeli enemy, and that we will take all possible supportive measures to stand with them. Among these measures is considering any Israeli presence in the Somaliland region as a military target for our armed forces, as it constitutes aggression against Somalia and Yemen and a threat to the security of the region. Firm measures must be taken against it. We will not accept that any part of Somalia be transformed into a foothold for the Israeli enemy at the expense of Somalia’s independence and sovereignty, the security of the Somali people, and the security of the region and the Red Sea.

We also call upon all countries on both shores of the Red Sea, as well as the Arab and Islamic world, to take concrete steps and practical measures to prevent the Israeli enemy from violating Somalia and other Muslim and independent countries.

We further stress the necessity for the entire الأمة (Ummah) to stand together in support of the oppressed Palestinian people. Any failure in this regard gives the Israeli enemy an opportunity to pursue its conspiracies against other countries, for it is an enemy of the entire Ummah and a danger to the countries of the region unless its aggressive plots are confronted with firmness, seriousness, and responsibility.
