How do you determine the rarity and value of a gift? 🧐

Rarity directly affects the value of a gift. There are several parameters of rarity: model, background color, number, pattern, theme, and combination of all of these.

The most important indicator is the rarity of the model; the rarer the gift, the more expensive it is. The rarity of models varies for each type of gift, and you can view the entire list of gifts and their rarity at @GiftChangesModels. However, there is a nuance: the rarity indicated in the gift and the actual rarity often do not quite match, as there is a margin of error. You can find out the exact number of a particular gift model on the website peek.tg.

The background is the second most important parameter. There are popular and valuable types of backgrounds for which people are willing to pay extra (black, black onyx, shades of gold, etc.). In the coming days, we will release a tier list with backgrounds, where we will focus on value and potential. A rare model and a black background are the gems among gifts.

Gift patterns are the most difficult aspect, as there is no pattern market and there are many different types. We plan to analyze patterns soon, but at the moment, I don't even know how to approach them. From my observations, I can highlight two interesting patterns: a bag of dollars and a dollar bill. Sometimes people are willing to pay extra for such patterns on rare gifts, and in general, I think they are among the most promising in the pattern niche.

As for numbers, numbers from 1 to 9 are valued, followed by numbers consisting of one type of digit (22, 111, 777, 1111, etc.). There is also interest in round numbers (10, 20, 100, 1000, etc.). Mirror numbers usually make sense in combination with a rare model or background, and 3-digit numbers are more highly valued. For example, a sapphire Pepe on a sapphire background with the number 414. 🕺

Themed gifts occupy a separate niche. If you have improved a gift related to a popular theme, don't rush to sell it. The trend of collecting mini-collections on a specific theme is growing every day. Gifts of this kind are liquid and steadily increase in price due to growing demand from fans.

A gem is a combination of everything (number, background, model, etc.). For example, Leonid's helmet with the number 1 on a black background. Everything matches, and the value of such a gift among collectors will be enormous. 😱

How to determine a good color combination for a gift? 🧐

An NFT gift consists of three elements: a model, a background, and a pattern. The color of the pattern and the color of the background are the same and have similar shades. The model of the gift most often does not intersect with the color of the background and pattern, but there are also monochrome gifts (you can read more about them at the link). In this article, we will analyze what a good color combination means and how it affects the value of a gift.

The Itten color wheel comes to our aid — it is a tool for selecting harmonious color combinations, developed by Swiss artist Johannes Itten. There are three types of colors in the diagram:

1. Primary colors — yellow, blue, red — are located in the central part of the circle.
2. Secondary colors — green, purple, orange — are located around the center. They are obtained by mixing primary colors:

● Blue + yellow = green;
● Yellow + red = orange;
● Blue + red = purple.

3. Tertiary colors are located on the outer part of the diagram. They are obtained by mixing primary and secondary colors that are next to each other. For example:

primary red + secondary purple = crimson;
primary yellow + secondary green = light green.

There are 12 colors in total on the outer circle: 3 primary, 3 secondary, and 6 tertiary.

The combinations on the Itten circle help to select the optimal color combinations. There are many ways to use the scheme, but since we actually have the model color and the background color, our choice of options is greatly reduced to 3 combinations:

1. Choose from two opposite colors on the outer circle;
2. From the colors located at the corners of an equilateral triangle;
3. From three colors that are located next to each other on the outer circle.

All options are presented in the 2nd image accompanying this post. 🍩

What are limited edition stickers in Telegram? 🧐

Limited edition stickers in Telegram are exclusive sticker sets released in limited quantities in the Sticker Pack app (the app is not official), which was created by the NotCoin and DOGS team. The marketplace launched on December 21, with several collections available at launch: DOGS, BAYC, Blum and others. 👍

The community's interest in stickers began during the Token2049 event in 2024, where Pavel Durov talked about the idea of integrating NFT stickers into Telegram and their bright future as anonymous numbers. Users were also interested in the opportunity to own something unique and interesting, a kind of collectible item that gives certain bonuses and can be shown off in chats. And in the end, many were won over by the biggest brands in the world of NFTs: Bored Ape Yacht Club and Pudgy Penguins. In general, the hype was powerful, and there was increased interest and belief in stickers as a successful investment.

There is a huge “but” in the whole story with stickers: we still cannot turn stickers into NFTs, there is no official market for selling and buying packs, and it turned out that Bored Ape is not exactly “original” monkeys from the creators, but merchandise that was created based on the right to own original NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Perhaps stickers really do have a bright future and will be worth a lot, but this will probably not happen soon, as stickers need to be directly integrated into Telegram and be able to stand out in chats in some way. Currently, limited edition stickers are regular packs that anyone can save, but only the owner can edit.

The bottom line is that stickers are currently in the “Soon” stage... 🥺
