Did the Ancient Druids believe in a Veil of Ignorance (Ajñāna, Avidya, Maya) between the World and Absolute Reality or God?


The Gaelic mythology indeed preserves a concept of a Veil of Ignorance between the manifest World and The Absolute (Breoghan/Tat/Dedad), very much like the metaphysics found in Indian religions.

Alldui (Great Ignorance =Ajnana/Avidya), is son of Tat (Father =God), son of Tabhairn (=Tavern, a poetic term for Ocean, =The Cosmic Ocean). The genealogy of the gods concludes there.

Indui, meaning the negation (In-) of Ignorance (Dui), is the son of this Alldui. In this sequence we then have the Great Veil of Ignorance (Alldui) emerging from the Absolute (Tat) and immediately being followed by its own negation (In-dui), which is thus a new born Wisdom piercing the veil of Darkness, the primordial intellectual Sun rising.

This is confirmed in a separate version of the same mythos found in the Ulster legends. We have Dui (Ignorance) who is foster-son of Dedad (God) and son of Lugaid (the Purusha form), who is killed and succeeded by Fachtna Fáthach, son of Ross.

Fachtna Fáthach mac Ross means the Hostile Wise One, son of Knowledge, and Fáthach comes from the same root word as the name Odin and numerous words for seer.

Thus once again we have Ignorance (Dui), sired by The Absolute (Dedad/Lugaid), and succeeded by its own negation, The Wise One (Fachtna).

Tat > Alldui > Indui

Dedad > Dui > Fachtna


Now Indui is called the king of the North country and lord of horse breeding peoples. The Horse has a solar and fiery meaning, and Fachtna is indeed grandson of Rudraige, “The Red”, who must be the Red Sun called Rohita (The Red/Red Horse) in the Vedas. Rohita is also included as one of the esoteric names of Rudra in the Satarudriya litany. That is, Rudra is directly identified with this Red Sun in the Vedas.

Thus Fachtna/Indui seems to be a highly solarized and primordial Rudra/Odin/Finn type, very much comparable to Apollo, sprung from the primordial (also Rudra-coded) Sun God (Rudraige/Rohita), who then defeats the darkness of the Veil of Ignorance with the light of Wisdom and Knowledge.

The red, dawning Intellectual Sun (Rudraige) is emanating the god of Raging Intellect (Fachtna), the latter appearing to be like a furious extension of the former.

As Indui is the lord of the North, so he must be the god most consistently tied to the North in Indo-European myth: Rudra/Apollo, here in a primordial and highly solarized form, as his lordship over horse breeding implies. It is thus hard to know if Indui parallels Fachtna, his grandfather Rudraige, or both as one, yet it is Fachtna who directly kills Dui.

From Indui all the other gods then follow, his first successor being Neit (Vishnu).

Likewise from Fachtna and his lover Ness (Vac, Speech) and her other consort Cathbad (a Rudraic Brihaspati), the other god-heroes also follow, such as their son Conchobar (Prajapati) and their daughter’s son Cuchulainn (Vishnu).


The Druids indeed had a metaphysics of The Veil of Ignorance that is born from The Absolute and then supplanted by the hostile god of solar Wisdom. Whether we call it Ajñāna, Avidya, Maya, or Alldui, this veil is there in plain language right at the beginning of the mythic genealogies of the Gaels.

May this message of clarification find its way to those who will preserve it, that we may pierce the Great Veil.

What position I take in a discussion depends upon 2 main things: where the other person’s position is and what my vision is.

There is a square table with a hole in the center of it. A marble is on the left side of the table. If my goal is to drop the marble through the hole then I need to move the marble to the right. If the marble is on the right side of the table then I need to move it to the left.

It is the same when discussing things with people in the wild. You need to take an assessment of where somebody is and what sort of worldview they have, what sort of triggers they may have. This will help you navigate around these things and move the marble closer to the hole in the middle of the table.

Think of it like a castle and you need to figure a way around the defenses and past the gates. You need to avoid trigger words and be able to present things in a palatable way in order to avoid the guard being raised – because if they become defensive then usually the conversation loses any potential for yielding fruit and you may as well end it.

It is not cucking to avoid heavier truths at first. You have to build a foundation. It’s literally the same as lifting. It isn’t cucking to not bench 300lbs on your first day in the gym. So why would you overload someone with ideas they are not prepped for if you are really trying to help them and take steps to further the bigger picture?

Learn how to assess and navigate. Develop the faculties to perceive subtleties and nuance. Be strategic in your approach. This is worldview warfare basics and this is why the heavy handed approach is often not the most effective.

This is why it isn’t usually beneficial to just regurgitate narratives. The only function this serves is as a gauge on where the public discourse is at and where the currents are flowing. For us, we don’t usually engage in this, we just keep track of it and try to direct it.

The unthinking repetition of talking points is the only thing plebs are capable of. They are quite obviously automatons in the most literal sense but we do still love them, though we need to understand well that they work against their own interests due to innately low levels of awareness. They are incapable of skillfully navigating reality because they are colorblind – all they know is black and white thinking.

They simply vomit narratives they’ve been programmed with and yeah where applicable we aim to generate more of these bots (as a part of a progression on the spectrum out of varying shades of cringe into eventual and holy basedness) because they do play a role, but really we want to aid in the generation of the more creative and dynamic thinking types.

You need to have fully understood the essence out of which the narrative has been formed which will then allow you to morph things to be said in an essentially limitless number of ways.

It isn’t about taking a normie and having him throw up Romans by the end of the discussion. Don’t expect to take a hylic and have him doing 3 hour meditation sessions right after you introduce him to spirituality as a subject. Be realistic, ease people into the right trajectory. Nurture the mind like a garden – not too much and not too little. Learn how to discern this.

It is about steady progression. A net gain. We are in this for the long haul. Give people digestible information tailored to their specific disposition. This is called skillful means.

The goal is to further the vision which includes spreading perspectives and information that will aid this process. Bringing many people closer to our worldview, even marginally, is how we do this.

Be the reason someone questions their reality this week.

We need SINGLE-MINDEDNESS in order to succeed in life:
Purity of heart, not willing any other thing than ONE.

Let go of distractions, release them from the mindstream so that ONE THING can settle in.

MAKE WAY – THE ONE PURPOSE is like royalty coming to visit, a traveller sent out by the Divine. We need to devote the time to create some extra space (a guest room) in our inner worlds so that the divinely manifested visitor may settle in. We can create the grounds for our visitor to stick around if we honor that space by protecting it and tending to it regularly, keeping it pristine.

That space wherein the ONE PURPOSE can claim residence isn’t
"made".
It’s already there.

We’re only to expel the clutter from our inner temple.

Here's an invitation to do some pre-yule de-cluttering:

- Set up a bright incorporeal light source in your mind's palace to illuminate any dark corners.

- Open the windows and let some fresh air in, and look under the rugs – they might be covering something up from back when you were sweeping the ground without proper dedication.

- Set up walls to keep out what needs to stay out. Find the door. Lock it. Seal windows shut.

- Implement a strong defense of weapons to scare intruders away or destroy them if necessary. Make the place look absolutely terrifying from the outside. (Be ready, intruders will show up.)

- Journalling is a great tool to use in addition to visualisation.

Whichever visual speaks to you and ends up working is fair game. In the end, it's about being left with a clean surface, a blank slate, a fresh canvas, clear waters, an open stage (insert your analogy here) that's both indestructible and devoid of anything other than emptiness.

It doesn't matter how small or big that empty, holy spot ends up being.
What matters is your perception of its existence.

Perception of emptiness causes experience of emptiness.

Once aware, no action can be performed without that awareness shining through.

All things must be balanced, therefore emptiness cannot be maintained forcefully.

Attracted by the vacuum that emptiness causes, pure energy will traverse the channel of the mind, which thus resembles both the state of voidness and the state of abundance simultaneously.

I have been working for over a year on the research and writing for the next Revolt Against the Modern World episode, "The Soul of Chivalry". The noscript is in excess of 14,000 words and will be our longest episode yet. By comparison, our previous longest episode was "only" 6700 words. I expect it to be over 2 hours long!

To be fair, this is a long chapter in the book and one that is filled with all kinds of interesting points that deserve to be developed more thoroughly. We'll be covering knighthood, symbolism surrounding themes like horses and women, the Holy Grail, the Knights Templar, what it takes to be a chivalric hero, and more.

I want to give a big thanks to those who have continued to support this project, whether that be through Patreon or SubscribeStar, becoming a YouTube channel member, subscribing to my Substack, or by sharing the content. I appreciate that so many have stuck by, despite the fact that it must seem like I've done very little in the way of content this year. It's been over a year since the last episode, after all, and I couldn't fault anyone for wondering if the project had been abandoned.

The reason is both that this is a massive project that required prioritisation, meaning any additional content had to take a backseat, plus just having to work a LOT this year and not having as much free time. But things have still been happening behind the scenes! And the silver lining is that since the last episode, a number of new artistic tools have become available to us to make this the best looking and best sounding episode yet.

It will still be a few months before the episode is ready for release, but I think you'll find that it was worth the wait. If you're new to the series or you have some episodes to catch up on, now is the time to do so. The Soul of Chivalry will certainly be enjoyable as a standalone video, but it does build on previous concepts, so you'll enjoy it more if you've watched the other episodes.
