… and that’s fine?

People do hot takes wrong. They don’t understand that it’s not merely enough to describe something in more detail, and then for having “exposed” its deeper nature and motivations, it’s inherently bad.

You still have to make an actual judgement call on whether you support it, even knowing what it is.

TOILET TALK WITH REB:

Retards chimping about Charlie's wife "cucking" by forgiving his murderer

The Christian martyr is passive witness. Charlie was killed for his beliefs. Victim of persecution for testament to Christ and witness to God's love. Charlie's testimony.

Personal retaliation is forbidden in Christianity as justice is delivered through (ordained) authority. Kings and judges are God's agents in this context.

Was very clear from the rest of the speeches from Miller, Vance, and Trump... they are setting the precedent to act as the divine hand of justice... that was clearly what was being framed

Everything is/was perfectly framed in the Christian framework to "sanctify justice"

She will be emblematic of Charlie's witness and accordingly wielded and championed behind all subsequent actions that come from this

Further, Trump did underline this as a sort of weakness of Charlie's... covering bases... he hates HIS enemies (personal)...

many folks that showed up, I'm sure were deeply moved (probably older crowd), but that audience also appeared fairly young too... many military aged males who might see this as weakness and be their to "witness revenge"

Both bases are covered

Call it Charlie and Erika's "divine justice" or Trump and Miller"s "revenge"... the precedent is now established before all for what is to come and for what Trump will carry out

TOILET TALK WITH REB (cont.):

The early Greek view of revenge (timoria) was often personal and tied to honor (Achilles v Hector)... if dishonored, one had the right or obligation even to retaliate... the Tragedies wrestled with this quite a bit as to whether blood-feud or the state should carry out revenge

The early roman view was likewise also tied closely to honor (dignitas) and families were obligated to enact revenge... later in the republic it was ceded to the state as well

The Germanic and Celtic take was with the "state" acting as more a mediator... vengence and blood-fueds were the norm and kinship based.... if someone was killed then the family had right to blood or some sort of compensation

So Greco-Roman eventually transitioned to the state was sacred and unifying while Northern European Pagan systems pretty much stayed tribal and individualistic

Trump celebrates personal qualities and genes (kinship)

He celebrates power, manliness, wealth, ego, fame, personal loyalty, REVENGE, and those great great German and Scottish genes for which he is so proud and from which he received that killer instinct

Trump is kind of a secular Pagan figure in many senses

It'll be interesting to see how either framework gets more received

Pagan or Christian? More of a tell which way things are going spiritually

Tantra, Imagination, and the Nature of Experience

The experience makes the man. This aphorism captures well the essence of the Dharmic insight of interdependence and points towards the reality of our selfhood (or lack thereof), which is that we are not a static form or set identity. Instead, we are more like an unending process that only appears as solid and concrete from a certain perspective but is actually in constant flux.

As we go through life we are always in a state of change, and even normies can’t help but notice this even if they don’t take this observation to its logical and even radical conclusion. We are created by our experiences – we are fundamentally shaped by them, and every decision we make leaves an imprint that in some way has an effect on our karmic stream and little slice of reality.

When engaging in Tantra what we’re doing is leveraging this knowledge in a way that facilitates enlightenment. A fundamental aspect of Tantra is the creation of inner experiences that have the potential for radical transformation by purposefully creating karmic imprints. One way this is done is through visualization which is the conscious creation of experiences that change us in an intentional direction.

This methodology is grounded in the understanding that no matter what it is that we perceive it is our minds that create the experience – even if we think there’s a difference between subjective and objective, the fact of the matter is that there is nothing objective that is experienced without the mind fundamentally constructing the perception of it and coloring the experience.

Mind renders reality: there is no direct access to an “objective” world in the way that this idea is often conceptualized.

All the sights, smells, tastes, feels, and hearing perceptions that constitute the phenomenal world that we experience are gathered by our sense organs, filtered by our mental conditioning, and projected on the screen of our consciousness. By framing the process of our experience of reality in this way we can easily see that the mind is the generator of all experience.

Therefore, by properly wielding our imaginative power we have the ability to make inner experience just as real to us as anything outside of ourselves and thus it potentially contains the same transformative power as any experiences outside of ourselves – provided that we train ourselves in proper technique and understanding. This works because “inner” and “outer” experiences are both rendered by the mind and are therefore of the same fabric, of the same fundamental ground.

When we engage in this power of the imagination it has an effect which changes us. The physical body and subtle energies respond to the imagined scenario in a way very similar to how they would during an external event.

Visualization should be understood as a real experience just like we consider climbing a mountain to be a real experience. From the standpoint of experience, there is no fundamental difference between visualizing climbing a mountain and actually climbing it. Both are mind-generated events rendered in consciousness and both leave imprints.

When we vividly visualize, we’re not engaging in mundane make-believe or meaningless reverie, we are creating neural, energetic, and karmic impressions in the same way as if we were encountering “real” or outer phenomena.

Even from a physicalist or materialist reductionist perspective, the efficacy of the imagination to alter the brain has merit.

Mainstream neuroscience acknowledges that imagined actions activate many of the same neural circuits as external actions. For example, visualizing moving your hand stimulates the motor cortex almost as much as physically moving it. The limbic system (amygdala, hippocampus) lights up with imagined events in the same way which is why a nightmare can produce a pounding heart and sweat even though "nothing happened."

Monks that can regulate autonomous body processes such as heart rate and body temperature prove the same point of the mind’s power. There is plenty of scientific data showing that repetition of visualization strengthens and rewires neural circuitry via neuroplasticity – meaning that there are physically observable alterations that happen in your body from merely using your mind.

Tantra is not about dogma or belief (beyond their utility as a skillful means in facilitating the goal of Tantra – that being awakening), it is a pragmatic system, a technology. It employs a variety of techniques such as visualization, breathwork, mantra, ritual, etc. that are not merely "pretend" but an engine of deliberate transformation.

Since samsaric experience itself is constructed, Tantra leverages that same constructive power to deliberately shape new patterns. Imagination is a powerhouse that re-patterns the mindstream by altering karmic flow and opening access to subtle states of consciousness which fundamentally reorients identity, perception, and the very fabric of our conceptual matrix.

By repeatedly invoking Tantric methodology, practitioners install new experiential architectures in the psyche. This alters the way in which energies flow within the subtle body and provides a radically different framework through which we experience conventional reality that ultimately generates new karmic patterns that are more suited to Dharma practice – this functions in a progressive way that compounds rapidly, hence Vajrayana being referred to as the Thunderbolt vehicle.

Ultimately, these transformations point back to the recognition that the very process of rendering experience is empty, ungraspable, and luminous. Tantra uses form to transcend form and imagination to pierce imagination. Poison is transmuted into medicine:

Attachment, released from fixation, becomes Discriminating Wisdom that sees the unique qualities of each phenomenon without clinging.

Aversion, freed from reactivity, becomes Mirror-like Wisdom that reflects all things with clarity and equanimity.

Ignorance, dissolved at its root, becomes Dharmadhatu Wisdom – the spacious awareness in which all appearances arise and subside.

In this way, the purposeful engineering of experience through radical manipulation of conventional reality becomes a skillful means towards the end of realizing ultimate reality.

All phenomena of samsara and nirvana are your own mind.
