When I was a kid in middle school I started bringing in and selling sugar cubes in their original packaging labeled "dominoes sugar cubes". Some 🤓 lookin kid a few grades behind me walks up to me and asks "what are you selling?" I look at him, look down at my box of "dominoes sugar cubes" which is open displaying a bunch of sugar cubes, then look back at the kid and deadpan "pure Columbian cocaine". He looks scared and runs off. A few minutes later the lunch monitor comes up to me and asks "what do you have there?" I look at her, look down at my box of "dominoes sugar cubes" which is open displaying a bunch of sugar cubes, then look back at the old lady and deadpan "sugar cubes". She snatches the box and proudly says "NO! you're selling DRUGS in SCHOOL". I try to argue with her that I am clearly selling cubes of sugar in a box that clearly says "sugar cubes". She ignores me because adults are always right and children are always liars. I tell her to give me my property back and that she is stealing from me (this was during my ancap arc) and again she ignores me because it is okay for adults to steal candy from children.
She ends up taking my "drugs" to my mom to rat on me. I was not there for the whole conversation but when I did get there my mother was staring at the lunch lady like she wishing she could burn a hole through her head with laser vision. My mom later said that the lunch lady is an idiot but would not give me back my sugar cubes because I am also an idiot.
i was selling the sugar cubes for 25 cents. The profit margins were insane.
