Stop using MySQL in 2026, it is not true open source
MySQL's development has significantly declined under Oracle's stewardship, with commit activity dropping sharply in 2025 and staff reductions announced. Oracle conducts all development behind closed doors, rejecting community contributions and treating MySQL as open source only by license, not practice. Technical issues have plagued recent releases, including data corruption bugs, performance regressions of 15%, and difficult upgrade paths. Oracle published 123 CVEs in 2025 with minimal transparency compared to MariaDB's 8. Migration to MariaDB is straightforward for most applications, offering true open source development with active community participation. Major platforms like Wikipedia and 57% of WordPress sites already use MariaDB.
በኢትዮጵያ ብሄራዊ ባንክ (NBE) በየካቲት 04, 2018 ዓ.ም (February 11, 2026) ይፋ የተደረገው ይህ የውጭ ምንዛሬ መመሪያ ማሻሻያ፣ የሀገሪቱን የውጭ ምንዛሬ አጠቃቀም ለማቃለል እና የንግድ እንቅስቃሴን ለማበረታታት የታለሙ በርካታ ቁልፍ ለውጦችን ይዟል።
ከላይ በላካችኋቸው ሰነዶች ላይ በመመስረት፣ ዋና ዋና ነጥቦቹ እና ማብራሪያቸው እንደሚከተለው ቀርቧል፦
1. ለአገልግሎት ላኪዎች (Service Exporters)
100% ማስቀመጥ ይቻላል: የአገልግሎት ላኪዎች ከውጭ ንግድ የሚያገኙትን የውጭ ምንዛሬ ሙሉ በሙሉ (100%) በRetention Account ውስጥ ላልተወሰነ ጊዜ ማስቀመጥ ተፈቅዶላቸዋል። ከዚህ በፊት የተወሰነውን ወደ ብር መቀየር ግዴታ ነበር፣ አሁን ግን ያ ቀርቷል።
2. ለውጭ ምንዛሬ ሂሳብ (FX Account) ባለቤቶች
ኢንተርናሽናል ካርድ: የውጭ ምንዛሬ ሂሳብ ያላቸው ደንበኞች፣ ለውጭ ሀገር ክፍያዎች (የኤሌክትሮኒክስ ግብይት/E-commerceን ጨምሮ) የሚያገለግል አለም አቀፍ የክፍያ ካርድ (International Card) ከባንኮች ማግኘት ይችላሉ።
የግል ወጪዎች: የውጭ ምንዛሬ ሂሳብ ያላቸው ሰዎች ለትዳር አጋር፣ ለልጆች ትምህርት፣ ለህክምና እና ለጉዞ ወጪዎች የሚሆን ክፍያ አስፈላጊውን ህጋዊ ሰነድ በማቅረብ መፈፀም ይችላሉ።

📢 Important Announcement: CPD Entrance Contest
As you all know, the first round of the CPD Entrance Contest will be held this Sunday.
To ensure fairness and maintain trust throughout the contest, all contestants are required to record their screen activity during the exam. This measure is strictly enforced to prevent the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or any other AI-related assistance.
We will be using Awesome Screen Recorder for recording.
🔹 If you are bringing your own PC, please watch the video tutorial on how to start recording and share the recording link properly. Link
🔹 If you do not have a PC, don’t worry we will install the extension on the lab computers for you. You won’t need to do anything.
A Google Form will be released to collect the recording links. We will carefully review all submissions before making any final decisions.
To help the contest run smoothly, please make sure to arrive early atleast 30 minutes, so we can complete the setup on time.

Apple has introduced the iPhone 17e, a lower-priced model in the iPhone 17 series.
The device starts with 256 GB of storage, which is double the base storage of the previous comparable model at the same price. It features a 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display and uses the traditional notch design instead of the Dynamic Island.

ገንዘብ ሚኒስቴር አዲስ ባዘጋጀው የገቢ ግብር ረቂቅ ደንብ፤ በኢትዮጵያ ነዋሪ ሆነው በዲጂታል አማካኝነት እና በፍሪላንስ (Freelance) ወይም በርቀት (Remote) የሥራ ዘዴ ገቢ በሚያገኙ ግለሰቦች ላይ የገቢ ግብር ተፈጻሚ ሊያደርግ መሆኑን አስታውቋል።
ማንኛውም በኢትዮጵያ ነዋሪ የሆነ ሰው ከሀገር ውስጥም ሆነ ከውጭ ሀገር ምንጮች በዲጂታል ይዘት ፈጠራ ወይም በማንኛውም የፍሪላንስ ሥራ የሚያገኘው ገቢ (በጥሬ ገንዘብም ሆነ በዓይነት) ግብር ይከፍላል ብሏል።
የዲጂታል ይዘት ፈጣሪዎች ያገኙትን የገቢ መጠን በሚመለከት ትክክለኛ እና የተሟላ የሂሳብ መዝገብ የመያዝ ግዴታ ተጥሎባቸዋል። ይህንን ግዴታ ባልተወጡ ግብር ከፋዮች ላይ ታክስ የሚወሰነው በሚኒስቴሩ መመሪያ መሠረት በግምት ይሆናል።
በተጨማሪም ክፍያ የሚያመቻቹ ኩባንያዎች የዲጂታል ስራ የፈጣሪዎችን ስም ዝርዝር፣ አድራሻ፣ የሲም ካርድ መረጃ፣ የአይፒ (IP) አድራሻ እና የተከፈለውን የገንዘብ መጠን በየሩብ ዓመቱ ለታክስ ባለሥልጣኑ ማሳወቅ ይጠበቅባቸዋል።
በዚሁ መመሪያ ባንኮች ለኪሳራ የያዙት የመጠባበቂያ ሂሳብ በብሔራዊ ባንክ መሥፈርት መሠረት የተሰላ ከሆነ፣ 80 በመቶው በተቀናሽ ወጪ እንዲያዝላቸው ተደንግጓል።
የደረጃ ለ ግብር ከፋዮች ዓመታዊ ጠቅላላ ገቢ የሚወሰነው የታክስ ባለሥልጣኑ በየሦስት ዓመቱ በሚያደርግ የገበያ ጥናት እንደሚወሰን በአዲሱ ደንብ ተካቷል።
ከመንግሥት ቦንዶችና ግምጃ ቤት ሰነዶች የሚገኝ ወለድ ወይም ትርፍ፣ እንዲሁም የአየር መንገድ የውጭ ብድር ወለድና የአውሮፕላን ኪራይ (ሮያሊቲ) ክፍያዎች ከግብር ነፃ ተደርገዋል።
የገንዘብ ሚኒስቴር ረቂቅ ደንቡ ከመጽደቁ በፊት አስተያየት መስጠት የሚፈልግ ማንኛውም ሰው መጋቢት 1/2018 ዓ.ም. ስድስት ኪሎ በሚገኘው የተቋሙ ዋና መስሪያ ቤት በአካል በመገኘት ወይም በተቋሙ infopr@mofed.gov.et የኢሜይል አድራሻ መላክ እንደሚችሉ አስታውቋል።
