Spice matcha
Spices in individual pots: metal pincers to pick up. Crushing them lightly like mofongo, then into Turkish coffee thing. Boilint water halfway. Cinnamon, cardamom, clove, star anise. Circles in Turkish coffee sand. Don't let it boil too hard - remove when you hear it boiling. Pour onto matcha in bowl through filter. Chasen as usual

Cha 茶
New teapet and cup just dropped
The hat actually doubles as a filter which can beautify / save space on the tea table. Hoping to sit down for a good gong fu session this week, it's been way too long.

In other recent news though, I recently had my first outdoor tea session trying out the last of my Kokutan Shizuoka kabusecha in the rainforest, hoping it's something I can continue doing! I used my 1L thermos and chose this tea because it didn't need boiling water (reducing risk of burning myself) and it would still be good even if the water cooled down a bit on the way there.
