Words fail me, because the amount of love, gratitude and joy I feel when your name is brought up is boundless.
You have been there for me through my darkest times, have called me out earnestly and never left me when I was in the wrong, helped me grow into a better person and taught me how to respect and love myself properly. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am now. Without you, I don't think I'd even be alive right now.
Pariya, you always think that your life isn't worth anything. That you're as useless as they come and haven't done anything significant in your life. You fail to see how bright your light shines, how much people adore and love you, and how you're always one of the sole reasons someone survives their toughest eras. You're a rock everyone can rely on, yet you don't even realize it, because it's always been in your nature to protect. You never found it draining or tiresome to help, never seemed to complain about how many times someone ranted or whined about something to you. You are the reason so many of us are standing stronger than before, and I only wish I could give you the same sort of gift back. I want you to love yourself, just as you taught me to do so. And believe me, you're so easy to love, and so so fucking difficult to hate.
Remember that day we broke up? That day was by far the worst day of my entire life. The worst week I've ever been through. I've only known you for a few months, but I couldn't fathom the idea of living my life without you in it somehow. Without having you to talk to. I'm so glad we both learned and grew from that situation, rather than drifting apart into bitterness. The fact that you are willing to change and grow is what makes you so admirable, because you know the risk, you know the pain and hurt it'll have to grow and change your flawed mindset, but you did it anyway. You accepted the risk. You accepted the change, and you did it all for me. And god, anytime I think about it I want to sob. The fact that you were willing to do this for the sake of our friendship is the type of love I've never received before, the type of love that's so hard to find. That's why I was so willing to change for you too when you called me out. And I always hope that you can see that change and feel proud. Because God knows how proud I am of you, and how much I admire you.
You're so talented, creative, funny and genuinely smart. You make sure to do intense research about anything you comment on, and you always stand by what you say and never back down from an argument. You're always willing to speak up about something when no one else will, and you've given me the bravery to find my own voice and speak up, because I know that I have a worthy comrade like you by my side to fight alongside me.
It's painful seeing you dislike yourself so much, when there's so little to dislike and so much more to love.
Thank you for staying, thank you for living, being, existing. And please, keep on going, because all of us, your friends, moots and everyone in your life can't imagine a life without you in it. You're not a star, you're a moon, and we can live without the stars, but if the moon goes away, there'll be no light left in our darkest times.
