for some reason i find the wow and flutter in the background music of 1950s american documentaries super funny

they sound like youtube poops with vibrato on

yt comments saying stuff like "The video actually starts at:" under long video essays are so funny like bro shut the fuck up the video starts at 0:00 i get your attention span isn't that great but your skipping part of the experience is not the universal way to watch something

"oh but there is a long cinematic intro/transition/whatever the fuck" yeah you can skip it but that doesn't mean that isn't part of the video you are capping

people were asking me what i base my decision for my videos' aspect ratio on and there is no definitive answer, it's a mix of vibes and what i am talking about

if the vid is about something from the early 2000s and most of the footage i can find about its creation/story is in 4:3 i think that's the right call

same goes for 16:9 and 2010s
