EN: Germany supplies military intelligence on Russian army movements to Ukraine, Zeit Online and ARD Kontraste report according to the decision taken in May. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz approved the provision of the intelligence to Ukraine in May, following a request from the German Federal Intelligence Service (BND). According to the above publications, Germany sends satellite images, and radio and telephone messages intercepted by the BND to Ukraine. These publications state that the BND carried out a legal check on compliance of the decision to transfer the intelligence information to Ukraine with the law. Lawyers concluded that the transfer of such information was legal and did not mean that Germany had entered into a military conflict.
