Learn from MAPA! Set up calls with MAPA and bring your questions about climate justice and social justice! (we will talk from our own experiences and perspectives)

Hello! if you want to do a campaign about MAPA or want to highlight MAPA voices on your group's social media more by asking us for posts or Instagram lives or whatever, please have a call with us first so we can talk to each other about the narrative and organize things together.

Please also set up a call with us for any strikes, events, campaigns or even talks, etc. that you might have about climate justice, reparations, intersectionality, etc. This way, for talks (if you really really really can't give the space up to MAPA), you're at least bringing our voices and amplifying us, and understanding a bit more where we're coming from and not talking for us when you have never even talked to us.

It's important that we have deeper conversations in order for non MAPA to really begin to understand the complexity of the injustices and resistance of MAPA.

*also, remember that MAPA isn't one entity, we have unique perspectives and experiences so talking to one person from MAPA isn't enough to learn about the entire MAPA

TLDR: don't talk about MAPA if you have never talked to MAPA or at the very least read stuff from our perspectives first and just amplify those sentiments. It's so so important that you listen and talk to us, and not just once, in order to really begin to understand how to show solidarity.

*btw, when you reach out and talk to most affected areas, please also try to reach out to the most affected people in your own countries = the refugees, the migrant workers, the bipoc communities, etc!!!! start in your own backyard and country too ❤️

Hello there,
Guess what? It’s another #MAPArecommends !!!!!!

So today I’ll be sharing with you a documentary called “Feminist on Cell block Y”
It’s about a person who build a Feminist movement while Behind Bars at an all male prison in Soledad, Carlifornia.

Be sure to like share and subscribe 😂

Did you know ;

🚀WWF is responsible for human rights abuses on the Baka indigenous communities in Congo
🚀that WWF is responsible for the colonial method of conservation “fortress conservation “ where they kick out indigenous communities out of their lands in the name of preserving forests 🌳.

WWF doesn’t respect indigenous knowledge and we have evidence !!!

Over the next few days we will share content to educate you all on fortress conservation and how UK “self proclaimed conservationists are killing the planet “

Watch the video below which is the first in this series.

Hi everyone, hope y'all are doing great!
Today the Bill 490 will be ruled in Brazil. The approval of Bill 490, in practice, means the end of indigenous territorial rights, fundamental to the life and culture of the 305 indigenous peoples of Brazil.
Right now we are doing a Tweetstorm about it and we need help! Here is the hashtags that you can use: #PL490NÃO #TerraIndígenaFica

📌Your daily reminder that:

You are not standing up for MAPA
✔️You are standing with MAPA

MAPA folks are:
Not Voiceless
✔️We are unheard

This one is obvious but sometimes it just has to be said:
WE ARE NOT JUST SAD STORIES

And finally:
"If you have come to help us, then you are wasting your time but if you have come because your liberation is bound with mine then we can work together" - Lilla Watson

Have a great day

hey so in case you didn’t know there’s a law project being voted in Brazil that in practice ends the demarcation of indigenous lands that are a constitutional right. it would have catastrophic consequences for the livelihood of indigenous communities, as it allows even more the exploitation of their lands and accentuates discrimination and violence.
I made a thread about this but the most important thing is to share the tweets that I’ve linked and others from indigenous people, tweet using #PL490Nao (seriously make a lot of noise about the situation) and support the mobilisation that is happening in Brasília atm

SOUTH KOREA GOVERNMENT FUNDING DESTRUCTION IN INDONESIA

The climate crisis affects us all. We must all work together to combat the climate crisis. However, many countries are funding and supporting efforts to exacerbate the climate crisis.

South Korea is one of them, and it is responsible for funding the damage in Indonesia. South Korea, as one of the world's largest investors in coal project funding after China and Japan, has funded the construction of the Java 9 & 10 coal power plant megaproject in Banten, Indonesia, through its state and private banks.

It was extremely humiliating. There are countries that finance and support the destruction of other countries' territories. Despite promises to leave coal funding abroad, including in Indonesia, the South Korean government is still funding the construction of the Java 9 and 10 coal power plants.

Here's a powerful 25 minute video about greenwashing and fast fashion!

Our favorite part: when she says that we have to move away from away from the polar bear and recognize the reality of the crisis which is a humanitarian crisis 😉

Summary:It’s basically about how the global north keeps on expanding in the global south without regard for the people on the ground irregardless of what industry under the pretext of development but when looking at the people producing the textiles well starting from how they are grown like in the Punjab region to production like in Bangladesh and sales in the EU, there is a huge gab, no equality but more destruction of ecosystems and because people loose their lands they are forced to work for these companies. But we make it look like development when in actual fact it’s really about exploitation going on
