❗️ *DIGITAL ACTION* ❗️

🛑✊🏾*Stand with Indigenous Maasai Women*✊🏾 🛑 -

*WHAT:* Indigenous Maasai children & Women will convene to raise awareness on the county climate change act and the climate change issues affecting their community in Kajiado Town (Al Huda Primary School). We ask that you take digital action to stand in solidarity.

✊🏾*WHEN:* 29th July 2022 - 09:00 am EAT *Online*

✊🏾*WHY* As the *Stockholm +50* comes to a close and with the oncoming COP 27 talks due to take place in Egypt later this year, we as Maasai Women are protesting to highlight that *NONE of the RECOMMENDATIONS* are near to being achieved and seriously undermining the SDGS 2030 and toward a decade of restorations.

✊🏾*NOT* only that, we as indigenous Maasai women & youth are yet to see the county climate change act take effect in our communities. We are way behind if we are to align with the Paris Agreement. This translates to our suffering, walking long distances for water, poverty and early child marriages. JOIN US as we say peacefully bring to light our plight.

#DontForgetAfghanistan - 15. August 🖤❤️💚
On 15th August 2021, the Taliban took over the power after Western nations left Afghanistan alone. In the climate movement , many people don't think about Afghanistan anymore yet there are many climate activists from Fridays for Future Afghanistan who need our support.

That's why Climate Activists Defenders, former ARZ, has been working since last year to support with evacuations and resettlement but it needs a lot more of political pressure to open up humanitarian programs. We need to all apply pressure on it both online and physical. Protests will be happening in many cities on 13th, 14th and 15th of August. You could get in touch with your local groups to figure out if there's a protest near your local group's location.

That day you can also take a photo with a placard written #DontForgetAfghanistan or share something of the sort with the hashtag. We are also working on producing a video with climate Activists from FFF Afghanistan that will be posted during the days of the protests. Moreover, we shall share with every local group the video and we can provide a translation of the subnoscripts. The video will include a call for donations and will hopefully be accompanied by sharepics. The local groups can post both, let us know if you want to have translations for other languages than english.

Kindly reach out to @Rahminapaullete2005 or @LineNie, for further information. Let's make sure that we #DontForgetAfghanistan!

On 9th September we will go to the streets in solidarity with communities affected by the floods in Pakistan.

We call upon people everywhere to hold direct actions against fossil fuel infrastructure or financial institutions or to organise a public mass demonstration on the streets!
We will fight for the end of fossil fuels and climate reparations, starting with the IMF canceling unconditionally Pakistan’s debt payments.
