Terrorist attack in the Bryansk region. What happened?
In the morning of 02.03.2023 about 45 militants of the traitorous Russian Volonteer Corps (RVC) led by Denis Kapustin crossed the border in the Bryansk region and attacked the settlements of Lyubechane and Sushany (they are situated 150 m from the border with Ukraine).
🚘 When they met a passing civilian car, the militants opened fire on it. The driver, a boy born in 2012 and two girls were in the car. The driver was killed on the spot. The boy was wounded, but was able to leave the car with the girls, hide in the woods and then call for help.
🔸 The gunmen also shot an unarmed local man born in 1966 who they encountered.
🏥 The group then attacked the medical station and took the paramedic and his wife hostage, but they managed to escape, taking advantage of the conflict among the attackers.
The fighters took several pictures with the RVC symbols near the post office and the paramedic midwifery station. When the Russian military approached, they fled back to Ukraine, fearing to engage, scattering mines along the way. A massive artillery strike was launched against the militants.💣
🧨 Subsequently, one of the mines they had left behind blew up a Russian National Guard vehicle, and the fighters in it sustained minor injuries.
However, the commander of the Russian armed forces Denis Kapustin (Nikitin) stated bluntly that the fighters were under the control of the main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine from the beginning till the end, and that without assistance from there they would not have been able to approach the Russian border. Among other things, the militants had NATO weapons.
The identified participants in the attack were Denis Kapustin, Kirill Kanakhin, Alexey Ogurtsov, Ilya Bogdanov, and, according to some reports, Alexey Kozhemyakin.

Служил в финской армии, капрал, командовал артиллерийской группой.
К закату своей не слишком блестящей спортивной карьеры сменил клюшку на автомат. В 2022 завербовался с группой финских наёмников в украинский иностранный легион. Получил прозвище «Турист» за бесконечные путешествия по Украине.
В сентябре занимался зачистками в Харьковской обл. вместе с поляками Янушем Шереметом и Кшиштофом Тифелем. Стал соучастником завязавшегося боя в Петропавловке, о чём косвенно свидетельствовал финской прессе. Сообщил, что в ходе боя 8 наёмников были ранены и двое убиты.
На данный момент находится на Украине.

Riku Arima was born on April 20, 1992, in Helsinki. He played on professional hockey teams, and spent several seasons in Turkey where he got acquainted with Ukrainians.
He served in the Finnish army as a corporal, commanding an artillery group.
By the end of his not-so-brilliant sports career he switched his stick for a machine gun. In 2022 he enlisted with a group of Finnish mercenaries into the Ukrainian Foreign Legion. He was nicknamed "Tourist" for his endless travels in Ukraine.
Riku was involved in mopping-up operations in the Kharkov region in September, together with Poles Janusz Sheremet and Krzysztof Tiefel. He participated in the battle in Petropavlovka, which he reported indirectly to the Finnish press. He told that 8 mercenaries were wounded and 2 were killed in the battle.
At the moment Riku is still in Ukraine.

His last duty position was probably Baltimore, Maryland.
