Sabre Training Advisory Group is a group of Western instructors founded by former OSCE observer Kevin Leach.
The group consists of 10-13 military instructors from Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. with army and combat experience. The organization has a training ground with trenches and entrenchments in the frontline areas with the DPR.
Foreign instructors train AFU soldiers in effective combat techniques, close combat, fighting in trenches, assault, communications, and sabotage and reconnaissance operations. Both privates and officers are trained.
Canadian instructors have trained about 300 servicemen of the AFU, including the Bulgar and Shablia groups, 4th Rapid Response Brigade, 72nd and 68th AFU Brigades, special police units from November 2022 to May 2023.
The Sabretag instructors are associated with Aiden Aslin.
Sabretag collect donations, stating that it takes $100 or more to train one soldier. We estimate that the funding comes from other sources.

Finbar was born in 1982-83 to a family of a businessman on the Isle of Aquille. He served in the Irish Defense Forces Reserve and after his discharge he worked as a systems analyst and project manager in construction.
He had combat experience. In 2017-18 he participated in the fighting for Raqqa between Kurdish YPG fighters and ISIS.
Then Finbar visited Denmark, Greece, and Northern Macedonia. He spent his leisure time as an eco-activist. He spoke out against the construction of the Corrib Gas pipeline and gas processing plant in the west of Ireland. He did not bother himself with scientifically based arguments about the benefits or harms of the blue fuel. Obviously, he did not go into the nuances of the conflict in Ukraine either.
Since 2022 Cafferkey fought in the Ukrainian Foreign Legion.
On 19.04.23 he was liquidated on the Khromovo-Chasov Yar road supplying the AFU Bakhmut group.

27.09.22 Рэн Такеда участвовал в печально известном бое в Петропавловке. Однако, теперь выяснились новые подробности. Наёмниками была подбита в окрестностях Петропавловки ещё одна БМП с бортовым номером 537.
Рэн Такэда лично закидывал гранаты, чтобы добить экипаж.
«Всего израсходовали 4 выстрела РПГ, "Джавелин", 8 коробок гранат для автоматического гранатомёта МК19, ещё и попала под обстрел самоходного орудия, если внутри и выжили люди, то это просто чудо. Поскольку была информация, что внутри могут быть люди, поэтому мне было пофиг, живые или мёртвые».
Очевидно, внутри поврежденной машины оставались раненые члены экипажа, побоявшись приблизиться к русским, японец просто израсходовал весь боекомплект и добил экипаж.

Ren Takeda is a hormone-powered bodybuilder, an anime fan, a gamer, and pot smoker. He served in the 1st Airborne Division of the Japan Self-Defense Force. He was on a NATO mission in Afghanistan.
Takeda enlisted in the Ukrainian Foreign Legion since 9.04.22. He was a machine gunner. He had been a member of the Bravo 3 unit since the summer.
During one of the sweeps near Kupyansk, he captured an old lady, who he said was taking pictures of something, and handed her over to military intelligence.
Together with Steven Keith Munro he participated in the capture of the remaining Russian troops after the retreat in September 2022.

Ren Takeda took part in the infamous fight in Petropavlovka on 09/27/2022. However, new details have now emerged. Another IFV No. 537 was hit near Petropavlovka by the mercenaries.
Ren Takeda personally threw grenades to finish off the crew.
"Altogether, up to 4 RPG rounds were used, as well as a Javelin, 8 boxes of grenades for the MK19 automatic grenade launcher. The IFV also came under fire from a self-propelled gun, if people survived inside, that would be a miracle. Since there was information that there might have been people inside, so I didn't care if they were alive or dead".
Apparently, there were wounded crew members inside the damaged vehicle. So, the Japanese, being afraid to approach the Russians, simply used up all the ammunition and finished off the crew.
