XDC is the settlement token of the Corda Platform. The Corda platform was developed by R3. R3 is an enterprise software company pioneering digital transformation with institutional banks. R3, Corda, and XDC are all part of the ISO 20022 standards.
But wait, there’s more.
XDC is a hybrid blockchain, meaning it’s both public and private. This allows banks and institutions to communicate the details of their transactions in private “walled gardens” and post the settlement of the transaction on the public ledger. Banks protect their proprietary data while participating and settling in public.
Brining this back to the Flare Networks, this announcement is excellent news. The details will reveal themself when the FlareNetwork is launched but the fact they’re already publicly announcing XDC will be supported across all their products is as good as it gets. I’m hoping we’ll be able to stake XDC on Flare for APY, but who knows when/if that’ll happen.
