The white walkers could not have crossed the wall without the dead dragon.

We all know that the wall is ancient and it was created not just with ice and stone but magic. Dead men cannot cross the wall because of that even Uncle Benjen told us that. So they never would have come to westeros unless they had the dragon. Jon’s obsession and their stupidity led to a dragon being killed and the Night king got a dragon to break the wall. If Jon had not obsessed so much about the night king, so many people would have been alive and the white walkers would have stayed behind the wall. You could have just waited when they tried to cross the wall and burned them with the dragons.

How could have the night king crossed the wall without the dragon?

Everyone talks about Glenn’s death from The Walking Dead being the most brutal on tv and I used to agree…until watching this show. (Had to repost because moderators removed my previous post for spoilers…sorry!)

Why season 4 IS the best

I almost binge-watched the whole thing. 9/10

What i like :

- This season gave us the great payoff for tyrion's arc. it felt so cathartic to see this underdog stand up for himself after a lifetime of being ignored. that trial scene alone was orgasmic. killing shae was brutal while being understandable but what's ironic is that tywin, a man defined by his pride, went out without underwear at the hands of his dwarf son. such a shocking twist backed up by great character development, truly one of the highest points of the show.

- The season also saw daenerys beginning to understand what makes a great leader. she's been seeing herself as the righter of wrongs, so it's compelling to watch her grapple with the very idea of right and wrong. i see her arc as about turning into a just ruler. if she completes her arc i think she might even end up on the iron throne by the end.

- Another character on rise is jon snow. his arc is not simply leadership though, it's about the war between love and duty, and discovering your identity when you don't feel like you belong. the night's watch subplot was a lot more enjoyable as well since the whole storyline was clearly building to an explosive climax. i also have to give praise to episode 9, one of the finest hours of the show. it even works like a movie as it follows the traditional 3 act structure with clear stakes.

- I'm loving the character of littlefinger. he's so sneaky and you never know what's going on in his head. stirring trouble to benefit from the chaos when the opportunity presents itself is such a cool tactic. i also love how their journey facilitated sansa's arc since he's a direct foil to her, which i already praised about the show. it's sad and badass at the same time to watch this little girl who had all her dreams shattered and was kept hostage amongst her family's enemies slowly starting to learn the ways of the game at the cost of her innocence.

- Aside from their ending which i'll touch on later, the dynamic between the hound and arya was excellent. sandor feels like protecting her is the one good thing he can do before dying with his sins, while arya is looking for ways to get him off her list. it's an interesting duo that manages to stay away from clichés, so it's heartwarming when they actually start to bond despite the conflict.

- So many jaw dropping moments this season, such as the purple wedding, oberyn vs. mountain, lysa's death, the trial and tywin's death. while none of them tops the red wedding in sheer audacity, they manage to capture that 'wtf just happened' feeling exceptionally. just when you think your expectations can't be subverted any longer, you're proven otherwise.

- Oberyn martell leaves a lasting impression as an authentic character. how he can go from horny to revenge mode is fantastic. the whole scene where he announces he will be tyrion's champion, along with his monologue about their visit to see baby tyrion was phenomenal too. it's a shame he died such a brutal but stupid death after beating a warrior like the mountain, but it was still in character for him.

What i dislike :

- What was that with jaime raping cersei? no one even addresses this moment afterwards like nothing happened but the scene assassinates jaime's character.

- Why did arya leave the hound to bleed to death instead of saving him? that felt too cruel after what he did for her. i get why she did it, but what was the point of all the time they spent together if they're not gonna change at the end?

- Whenever bran is on screen i roll my eyes. it feels like there's no stakes, nor a clear objective. there's no reason for me to be invested. also he feels very bland compared to the rest of the cast.
