‘A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms‘ Renewed For Season 2 Ahead Of ‘GoT’ Prequel’s Premiere On HBO

Watched and Finished GoT for the FIRST time
All I can say is WOW. I wish I didn’t wait as long as I did to finally watch GoT. I absolutely LOVED it! I love zombies and never realized they had zombie like creatures in this show so that was a fun surprise. I also really enjoyed all of the other fun creatures and antagonists that this show had included!
I guess my big question is, why do people hate season 8 so much? At the time season 8 was released I had never seen an episode of Game of Thrones and never intended to because of all of the negative things that I was hearing about the final season. As time went on, I never planned on watching it until my girlfriend recommended it. She had watched up until season 3 and wanted to watch it again so we started from the beginning and I was instantly hooked. This show did really well making sure that you hated characters that it wanted you to hate. When a character that I really hated had died, I had felt so much excitement. The fighting scenes were always really fun to watch and the show did really well throwing in surprise deaths for characters. With that, my mind couldn’t stop thinking, “how does season 8 go so wrong.” I was honestly dreading having to watch season 8 because everything that I have ever heard about it was just negative. Even the reviews online were all negative. And then I watched season 8 and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. It likely has to deal with the fact I had binge watched the show within the last 2 months of time vs someone that was waiting for each season to renew. But I still want to know why everyone hated season 8 as much as they did?
I do not think season 8 was perfect by any means. I actually really disliked the final episode and think it’s the worst episode of the show but still enjoyed episodes 3-5

Can someone explain how Ned Stark saw the blonde hair as a smoking gun that Cersei’s kids weren’t Robert’s?
How was Ned planning to prove to Robert or the council that Cersei’s kids weren’t his? Everyone already knew her kids didn’t have black hair, and no one ever questioned it. Why would that suddenly convince Robert? Ned was so sure Robert would believe it that he even warned Cersei to give her a chance to flee which set the stage for his execution . So really, this whole Game of Thrones drama started from Ned’s “gotcha” moment, which was basically a nothingburger and far from definitive proof of Cersei and Jaime’s incest or their children.

Did Ser Barristan have genuine respect for Robert?
Barristan had the unfortunate luck of serving the mad king, so in comparison Robert was not as bad. But did that make Barristan respect Robert? I know he had negative opinions of Robert as a king, but did he also think Robert had good qualities? And in his mind did Robert's negative qualities outweigh his positive qualities or not?

BOSS LADY OLENNA
When she said " You've lost Cersei. Its the only joy I can find in all this misery."
When she said "Not at all what I'd intended. You see I'd never seen the poison work before. Tell cersei. I want her to know it was me. "
Just had to give her some credit today cause I'm feeling like Lady Olenna.

Assuming Game of Thrones events never happened in westeros, and King Robert, Ned, Stannis, and Tywin are all alive, who would win if Daenerys, with her three dragons, Dothraki, and allies, attacked King’s Landing ?
I wonder if Daenerys and her army could have conquered King Robert’s Westeros if the realm hadn’t torn itself apart and weakened from internal conflict.
Reclaiming the Iron Throne was always her ultimate plan. She was actively building her forces to be strong enough to conquer Westeros. She would have attacked regardless of whether Robert, Joffrey, or Cersei sat on the throne.
What might have happened if she had launched her attack under King Robert’s rule?
Robert was clearly concerned about the Dothraki when he spoke to Ned, noting how fierce warriors they were and warning that if they ever set foot in Westeros, they would be extremely difficult to handle. Ned argued they had no ships, unaware that Daenerys will later acquire thousands of ships to transport her army. Back then Robert didn't even know she will birth 3 dragons to make the army even significantly stronge. Also not to forget probably some house in westeros would've joined dany's side cause they thought King Robert was an illegitimate king. Furthur strengthening dany's army.
I wonder if he, Ned, Tywin, Stannis and their allies could have withstood Daenerys, her dragons, the Dothraki, and the Unsullied in an allout war.

Why do people portray Yara as a lesbian???
"A boy, a girl, depends on the port"
These are literally her words. Yeah, I get that in the show she's seen with women only + that awkward situation with Theon. But combined with these words, that would've just meant she's bi (probably with preference for women)?
Still, I've only ever seen her being described as a "lesbian icon" or something of that sort. Like, bi people exist and even the actress herself suggested that, and people just... ignore that?
It's very similar to the situation with Marvel Loki, I think. Like, there weren't any relationships between him and any man shown, but Loki himself said "A bit of both" to Sylvie's words "What about you? You're a prince. Must've been would-be princesses... or perhaps, another prince." (They were discussing their romantic experiences) So there was a verbal confirmation, but it wasn't shown physically.
