If Jon and Rob had switched situations in the War of 5 Kings, do you think Jon could have done better leading the army and making decisions?

The Hound’s character arc is the most quietly profound in the entire show
he goes from a man who thinks kindness is weakness to someone who literally dies protecting arya
“fuck the king” to teaching a kid how to survive to finding peace with the brotherhood
his conversation with arya before he fights the mountain where he tells her not to be like him is heartbreaking
he spent his whole life angry and violent and in his last moment he saves her from that same path
sandor clegane deserved better than he got but his ending was perfect for his character
the hound is what the show did right. complex morally gray character who actually earned his redemption

Rewatching GOT and noticing how different the early seasons feel now.
I started a whole rewatch this week, and it's wild how different the early seasons hit when you already know where everyone ends up. Every scene with Sansa and Arya feels heavier. Even Tyrion's sarcasm feels sharper because you know how messy things get later.
It feels like a completely different show on a rewatch.

What is the realm...?
Was reading something and author captured what realm is
>As he entered the main road, sounds of the city soothed his ears. Peasants bickering, horses and pony stomping the cobblestone, kids laughing as they ran along the road. Varys's hood tugged behind him as he stepped up to the road. Gold rays rolled down on the path, he laid gaze on the smile flickering on the small face. It froze him. He stayed still even after the kids left. The warm sunlight bathed the whole city of rot. The jagged frame of King's Landing glimmered in the evening gold. Even amidst Gold and Rot it produced, life thrived and that's what Varys served–realm.

Where do Young Griff Theories come from?
Where does the theory of “FAegon” come from? I’ve finished the books, and couldn’t see any reason to doubt the story line or see why he would be a blackfyre. Other than the fact we thought he had been murdered as a child for the whole series, but a plot twist and him being the real Aegon doesn’t seem implausible.

For people who read the books, which character felt the most different from the show?
I've read the books once but not recently, and I remember thinking some characters were almost unrecognizable compared to the show.
For me, it was Cat. I forgot how intense and layered she is in the books until I started rereading.
Curious what characters stood out most to you guys in terms of difference.

Why did Tywin keep lending Baelish money? Especially as the Lannister mines started to run out.

**WARNING**SPOILERS FOR SEASON 7 GOT**
Turn back now if you haven't watched yet!!
Heyyyy, I'm back from my five year hiatus, mainly because of this show and how submerged I am in it.
Life did not turned out as planned for me. I ended up dropping out of…

I like how one of the most tactically gifted and military minds of westeros is a teenager with no previous battle experience.really makes you wonder about his potential as an older, wiser person.

If GOT got remade in 20 years, what would you want done differently?
I know remakes are usually a bad idea, but if HBO or someone else ever tried again with a full book-faithful version, what's the number one thing you'd want changed? Pacing? Character arcs? More focus on prophecy? Keeping the political tension longer?
Just curious how people imagine a different version.

You are on a mission to ruin early seasons of Game of Thrones, what changes are you making to the plot?
Cersei and Catelyn are friends who experimented when they were young, now they are trying to stop the war fueled by their husband / son / fathers. Purple wedding happens first, Catelyn agrees to the Red Wedding to make up for Sansa's involvement in the Purple wedding.
Catelyn agrees Ned deserved his demise because he underestimated a woman, pursues Rob to not seek revenge.
The reason Tywin dislikes Tyrion is because he doesn't want to produce heirs for the family.
Cersei and Jaime are portrayed in a good light now, so people will make romantic edits for them instead of hating on their relationship.
Robert is stupid and does whatever Cersei says.
Dany kills Drogo herself and hates him and has a girl power moment. She also poisons Viserys.
Brianne is a big focus because she will be the hero who ends the long night.
Littlefinger and Varys are ex lovers who hate each other now.
Almost everyone has thicc plot armor.
edit: Sansa and Tyrion have a good arrangement and Sansa has kids with the Hound.
Cersei and Margaery are attracted to each other because they are smart, but can't admit, leading to animosity.
