On my second watch...

And I know it's a universal opinion but I will seriously NEVER forgive whoever is responsible for season 8. I am just so angry about Dany's whole persona being thrown in the toilet. Such a disgrace. And so much unnecessary death!! Why why why 😭

Do yall think we would’ve gotten a better finale if the books were actually completed before the shows time

People always talk about the beginning of the downfall of the show being in like late S7 but I’m gonna be honest I noticed the quality start to dip in s5 and most of s6 is pretty mid in comparison to s1-4. Coincidentally that’s right when they catch up to the books.

The thing is, there are some scenes in the show that are not in the book that are brilliant. The beetle scene? Original. Tywin skinning the stag? Original. They are good at creating new and interesting things… but s5 is when I think they started to make the characters dumb and make bad decisions and screw themeselves because… conflict? Idek. What yall think

I’ve finished game of thrones. What now?

Last night I’ve finished game of thrones for the first time and it feels like I lost a good friend. With 8 seasons, I’ve never thought it would end at some point and now it did, and I dont know what to do with myself.

What is George Marty's worst idea?

I was thinking about the Unsullied the other day. In real life, these would be the worst warriors ever. No testosterone (a very important factor during a fight). It's not the only factor but it is decidedly better to have it than to not have it. They are quite literally weaker for not having balls. Also, if you castrate someone at 5 years old, that's going to fuck up their growth. Their hormones will be fucked from doing that and who knows how they will end up. They certainly aren't going to grow up healthily. What happens during puberty? They are stunted from the beginning. This is way to instantly downgrade a fighting force.

It seems like the whole idea behind them was George trying to be edgy while not really thinking critically about things.

Is Blood Raven omnipotent? 🩸

Blood Raven/The Three-Eyed Raven takes Bran back to *observe* the past as the White Walkers are approaching. While in the past, the whole “Hold the Door” event occurs, which interferes with Hodor’s mind and turns him into exactly that. This suggests that the *Game of Thrones* universe operates on a fixed timeline, similar to *Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban*: the past is already written and cannot be changed. Bran and the Three-Eyed Raven always went back, always interfered, and the Hodor moment always happened. We know this because Hodor already exists as “Hodor” long before the “Hold the Door” moment takes place.

This raises a question: does that make the Three-Eyed Raven somewhat omnipotent? Either he didn’t know what would happen and coincidentally brought Bran to observe young’dor (lol, Willis) at the exact moment it mattered, or he *did* know, which would mean he can perceive past events that cause future outcomes that haven’t yet occurred.

You could argue that he simply researched Hodor after meeting him and connected the dots, but that feels like a stretch. Either way, the implication is that the Three-Eyed Raven is seriously overpowered.

Thoughts?

Which character hated playing the Game of Thrones the most (Not limiting the options to the ones in the image)?

Joffrey coincidentally looks like the mad Roman Emperor Caligula! Caligula was young, power hungry, angry and crazy just like Joffrey. One of the most infamous emperors in history.
