Ramsay vs Joffrey?
Who did you guys dislike more? Joffrey was a heinous little thing and was cruel and unchecked but kind of dumb too. Ramsay was also brutal and loved to torture and “break” people and I think was a bit more intelligent than Joffrey. I don’t feel like I’ve seen anyone compare the two when they’re both awful. Obviously Joffrey was king and had more power at his fingertips, but Ramsay was awful in his own regard too. I’d love to hear some thoughts for both of them!

Am I the only one who thought this guy fit the character of Daario Naharis better than the recast? (Haven't read the books)

Sansa
Doesn’t give a fuck . I respect it . Watched a man get pierced while jousting , blood flowing everywhere , like 10 feet away and was like damn that’s crazy I’m bored next pls . The stark blood was most certainly recessive in her , a Tully woman through and through .

Shay is a liability from day ONE
That’s Shae (sp)..HBO is RErunning season two now and no matter how many times I watch …SHAE is beyond annoying. To be a low-born you’d think she’d appreciate what Tyrion did for her but she complained all along the way … popped up in his room when he told her to lay low and was beyond jealous .. with her “my lion” speak. It’s like she didn’t even really like him just wanted to control him. Her betrayal was awful but Tyrion’s revenge was sooooo appropriate in the end! Is there a character that no matter how much you rewatch still bugs the hell out of you?
You can add Baelish to that list and his side smirk … ugh. It took me a long time to see this actor Aiden Gillian-as anything but …. and that’s saying alot since I first saw him in The Wire which he did before GoT.

why did i kind of like the ending...?
i know they fucked up alot of the characters and their arcs and reduced them to like shells at the end, but i kind of like the focus being on the stark siblings alot.
but i really enjoyed jon snow and daenerys' love story i know people probably thought it was rushed which it definitely was but i loved their chemistry and their love story was kind of tragic!!!
like i found it oddly poetic and sad and yes it was not perfect but i think it kind of made sense...?

Who is the worst abuser of women King Joffrey or Ser Meryn Trant?
Both seem to really get off on afflicting pain and watching women in pain scream & cry . On the rewatch today can’t get over how much Joffrey commands Trant to beat and smack Sansa around .. why would he abuse his so called Queen in public …even if he disliked her family …he’d never do that to Margery.
So who is the absolute worst between these two sickos!
Adding THE biggest creep RAMSEY to this list…
And btw Joffrey or Trant didn’t even seem to be sexually active with women… they just seem to like torture.

Theon Greyjoy biggest story arc…
He was just a close ally of the Starks .. Rob’s closet friend .. but wanting to win over his father and be loyal to his family name - wow- really sent him down the hell of that sick F Ramsay Snow. Giants around was beyond moving and in the end .. I cannot believe I cried for him … did you feel the same?

How big a bad is euron ? (Books)
Is he a final/major antagonist or just a jobber ? Some of his stuff in the books I think we’re supposed to doubt, like did he really sail to Valyria? Is his armour really Valyrian steel? I would love to see him get his shit rocked by the Hightowers but it doesn’t seem that way.

Why was Robert obsessed with killing Daenerys while Viserys was still alive?
I'm just starting a rewatch and it just struck me - why wasn't Robert trying to kill Viserys? Why Daenerys? Viserys had the stronger claim as he was both male and older than Danny. Certainly Jorah informed Robert that he was alive and present. But no mention of a plot to kill Viserys, not even as part of the Danny assassination plot. Any thoughts? What am I missing?

Is reading the books worth it?
I am rereading the first book and I like it, maybe even more than the first time but I have a question for people who have read the series up to where it is: would you recommend reading the books even though it is unfinished and may not ever get finished?

The parallels between Berserk and A Game Of Thrones
The Berserk manga premise began in 1989 when Kentaro Miura first published it in Japan. A Game of Thrones, the first book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, premiered in the United States on August 1, 1996. So there is ample time for George to be inspired and incorporate many of Berzerk’s themes into Game of Thrones.
Here are the parallels between Berzerk and Game of Thrones:
Guts is like the Jon Snow of ASOIAF. Guts being fatherless bastard being raised by the Mercenary Captain Gambino and Jon Snow being a fatherless bastard being raised by his veteran Uncle. Jon Snow leaves for the Nights Watch at 14, Guts joins Band of the Hawk at 15.
Both are reluctant heroes, don’t care for noscripts and glory only honor. Jon Snow does die in the books (he is resurrected in the show). Guts goes through his own transformation.
Griffith is like Daenerys (not just beautiful with white hair) the ennoscriptd, ambitious leader that ultimately goes into a downward arc.
Adon (The Hound) and Samson Coborlwitz (The Mountain) fight Guts during the 100 man slayer battle. Samson adorned armor 3 times as thick as regular armor in that only he is able to navigate in. The Mountain adorns armor so heavy, only he can move in it. The Mountain is killed in the books, Samson is killed by Guts.
Cold Hands (ASOIAF) and Skull Cap (Berserk)
Aria Stark (ASOIAF) and Casca (Berserk)
The Apocels (ASOIAF) and The Others (Berserk)
Gambino's lover Sys (シス Shisu) miscarried and he agreed to take Guts along (after his parents were killed) since it seemed to be the only thing that prevented her from going mad with grief. Ned Stark’s wife reluctantly takes in Jon Snow (after his parents were killed).
Guts killed Gambino in self-defense and fled the mercenary camp to escape the wrath of the other mercenaries. Jon Snow kills Qhorin Halfhand to infiltrate the Wildlings and ultimately kills Orell as he is making his escape from the wildling camp to return to the Night's Watch.
There are more parallels, in which I know this subreddit will contribute.

Tyrion and Benjen have words about the Night's Watch | Game of Thrones (S01E03)
Tyrion finds a ride back to King's Landing, and also lets Benjen know that he thinks the Free Folk aren't much different than those south of the wall. #GameOfThrones
