Sending Rickon to Umbers, even that makes sense, why not keep an eye through warging.

Just watched game of thrones for the for the first time, episode 1. My thoughts
The world is massive, The Characters looks good, the characters are introduced in the first episode and lots of characters seemed pretty interesting to me
VFX are pretty well done too, The dead bodies of animals, organs everything looked real. Gore elements in the episode is well done too like beheading scene for example when Ned executed that guy
The one character that felt the most interesting was Daenerys. That Beautiful innocent girl. She is married against her will to khal drago and what a pretty weird brother she has, He literally stripped her naked and said she has a nice body... Like wtf? I assume they are Cousins or real blood siblings ?
As I heard before watching. Lots of nudity is here in show. And gore elements too which is okay but that scene of her brother stripping her naked was really uncomfortable for me to watch other then that everything looked top notch and interesting. One thing is for sure that the world would be more massive and intresting in the coming episodes
Khal drago seem not that Bad. He wiped her tears off saying No only to her questioning. Drago seemed gentle to me. Want to find out in next episodes how would their relationship would turn out ?
I am planning to continue watching it cause lots of storylines are presented in the first episode itself and my interest is peaked now

(Spoilers) Any book readers upset at how Loras was portrayed in the show?
Most people here are straight and won’t give a fuck. But this has to be one of the worst and most unintentionally homophobic portrayals of a gay man on tv. Why was he fucking a random prostitute and relaying information to him? Why was he not allowed to grieve? Imagine Catelyn Stark fucking another man in season 2. There is no respect shown to his relationship with Renly. Also they give him this storyline of being persecuted for being gay, forced to repent before the pope, and then killed. Like holy shit. Martin gave them none of that. They just went and decided to fuck over this character.

Why didn’t The Reach back Stannis?
It seems like a very stupid move by House Tyrell. If they didn’t back Renly, he probably would have fallen in line, supported his brother and the Lannisters would have been swiftly dealt with.
As far as I remember, Lady Baratheon couldn’t have any more kids. She only had the one daughter.
They would have ended up having a Tyrell as king once Stannis died. All they needed was a union between Loras and Shireen.
Why was this never considered a viable option? And let’s say Shireen couldn’t have kids or Loras couldn’t arise to the occasion… there were two other male Tyrell children. There is your next king.
