🎮 Roblox banned a YouTuber for exposing predators. Now it wants him back.

After months of silence, Roblox contacted Schlep, the creator who ran sting operations to catch predators on its platform, to discuss a possible return. The move came after public backlash, lawsuits from several U.S. states, and a sharp drop in its stock.

Schlep says he refused, claiming the issue was never about his ban but about Roblox’s lack of safety measures for minors. The company insists his actions violated its rules against impersonation and entrapment, while critics argue the ban silenced efforts to expose ongoing child safety failures.

This was never about me getting unbanned. It was about the victims, the players, the community that has been neglected forever.

🎮 How much does it cost to make a game?

A new analysis of 100,000 Steam noscripts exposes how wide the budget gap really is:

💰 Average budgets (2022–2025)
➡️Indie (Kei): $65K
➡️Midi: 14x higher
➡️AA: 33x higher
➡️AAA: up to $700M (Black Ops: Cold War), nearly 9x Spider-Man: Miles Morales

⚙️ Engines
Godot surged after Unity’s pricing fiasco. Unreal dominates big projects while open-source and custom engines fill the edges.

🎨 2D vs 3D: 3D games cost 16x more
👥 Multiplayer: only 16% of games but half of those above $10M
🏢 Publishers: increase budgets 3–4x, often less efficiently

Game development now costs more than Hollywood blockbusters. Making games has become both art and financial warfare.

🎨 Black Ops 7 is packed with AI art and players are calling it trash

Black Ops 7 just dropped and fans already spotted AI art everywhere. Posters in missions, textures, Calling Cards, even Prestige icons. All machine-generated.

This is a billion-dollar franchise charging 70 dollars for assets that look like quick prompts. Some Calling Cards have warped faces and messy “Ghibli-style” filters. Prestige rewards look over-designed and inconsistent.

Players are asking the obvious: why pay premium for AI slop?
If the biggest FPS series won’t hire artists, everyone loses.

🇺🇸 A Congressman Just Called Out CoD7’s AI Art

Ro Khanna says Activision is using AI to cut artists and boost profits. He wants rules to protect creative jobs and even talks about taxing mass automation.

Activision admits using AI tools, but players are still angry after spotting tons of AI images across Black Ops 7.

The real debate now isn’t if CoD uses AI. It’s who pays the price.

🔥 Half-Life 3 Hype Hits Max Level Right Now

The internet basically lost its mind today. Half-Life 3 hype is at apotheosis mode. Every tiny clue is getting treated like prophecy: new Valve hardware, HL2’s 21st anniversary, HL1’s 27th tomorrow, a hidden “upcoming release” on Steam, even a “crowbar3” filename people are zooming in on like detectives.

Everyone’s acting like the announcement is hours away.

But the two main dataminers behind all the HLX leaks are telling people to chill. Tyler McVicker says the project is real but no announcement date is known. Gabe Follower is also hinting “don’t expect fireworks tomorrow.” Even Jason Schreier says his old “2025” call was just a personal guess.

So yeah, the hype is insane. The evidence? Not so much.

If Valve drops HL3 this week it’ll be the biggest gaming moment in a decade. If not… well, Half-Life fans are used to pain.

🔥 DDR5 hits six hundred dollars. A PS5 is cheaper.

💸 A basic 64 GB kit is hitting 600 dollars, which means you can almost buy a whole PS5 Pro for the same price. Two months ago this exact kit was around 220 dollars. Now it’s up almost two hundred percent because AI is swallowing every memory chip in sight.

Factories are feeding hyperscalers first, gamers last. DRAM is up, NAND is up, HDDs are disappearing, and people are resorting to microSD cards like it’s 2010 again. Even Valve’s next Steam Machine is getting hit because its production window landed right in the middle of the crunch.

Analysts expect the shortage to run through 2026 as big tech pushes toward AGI. The cycle always flips eventually, and DDR5 will probably be dirt cheap again in 2027. But until then, the market is pain.

🔥 Tech Predictions for 2026

Tech is about to flip the table. AI everywhere, quantum waking up, robots getting feelings… here’s what’s actually coming fast.

➡️Companion robots go mainstream
Loneliness hits record levels and robots step in as real emotional partners, not gadgets.

➡️Developers become “renaissance builders”
AI writes code, but humans handle judgment, systems, product sense, and the messy real world.

➡️Quantum-safe or nothing
Encryption timelines collapse. PQC becomes mandatory across devices, cloud, and infrastructure.

➡️Defense tech hits civilian life instantly
Drones, edge AI, autonomy, and logistics tools jump straight from war zones to healthcare, rescue, and industry.

➡️Personalized learning explodes
AI tutors adapt to each kid, freeing teachers and making curiosity the default learning mode.

⚠️ AMD vs NVIDIA in Black Ops 7: something doesn’t add up

People started comparing Black Ops 7 on AMD and NVIDIA, and the game just… isn’t the same. On AMD cards, some shadows and reflections simply don’t render. Glass doesn’t cast proper shadows, smoke doesn’t darken the floor, and a few reflective surfaces never show up. NVIDIA and even Intel render them normally.

These missing effects give AMD a massive performance boost, with the RX 9070 XT pulling 30 to 35 percent more FPS than the RTX 5070 Ti. And the wild part is that once you drop settings, the visuals match again, but AMD still keeps that huge lead. 📈

Is it cheating? Depends who you ask. Some call it smart optimization, others say it’s quietly cutting visual fidelity to win benchmarks. What’s clear is that Black Ops 7 behaves differently on AMD hardware, and those small shortcuts translate into giant gains.

Steam vs Epic over AI labels 🤖⚔️

Tim Sweeney wants Steam to drop the “Made with AI” tag. Valve artists say it’s just transparency, like an ingredients list.

Studios hate the label because it exposes low-effort AI shortcuts. Players want to know what they’re buying.

Saudi Arabia is about to take EA. Almost the whole thing.

A new filing shows the Saudi Public Investment Fund grabbing 93.4% of EA in a $55B buyout. Silver Lake gets 5.5%, Kushner’s fund gets 1.1%, and EA goes private.

This isn’t a gaming deal. It’s soft power and control over the biggest sports franchises on the planet. EA FC, Madden, UFC, F1… all inside a fund with unlimited money.

The vote is this month. If it passes, EA won’t be an American company anymore.

🎮 The consolidation era just leveled up.

⚔️ Total War: Medieval 3 is real... but years away

It’s official. Creative Assembly just revealed Total War: Medieval 3 as the next historical noscript in the saga. But the game is still in early pre-production with zero gameplay and no release window in sight.

They promise the ultimate medieval sandbox powered by a brand-new engine called Warcore. It will even allow future noscripts to launch on consoles for the first time.

Nice words, but let’s be honest. This reveal feels more like damage control than celebration. We won’t be playing this before 2029, if we’re lucky.

🚨 WhatsApp and Signal just got exposed.

A new attack lets anyone track your daily routine using delivery receipts. No malware. Just your phone number. Researchers showed attackers can see when you wake up, when you get home, when you're on a call, and even what phone you use. All silent. All invisible.

Meta and Signal were told last year. Nothing happened.

🤖📺 LG just pinned Copilot to your TV. You can’t uninstall it.

After a webOS update, LG TVs now show a Microsoft Copilot tile locked to the home screen. Hide it, maybe. Remove it, no chance. And that changes the deal on a device you already paid for.

This isn’t deep AI magic. It’s basically a web shortcut. But the real issue isn’t AI. It’s consent. Nobody asked.

Smart TVs already track enough. Add an always-there assistant and trust drops to zero. That’s why people unplug WiFi, use HDMI boxes, block updates. Not to be fancy. To stay in control.

Today it’s “you can’t remove it”. Tomorrow it’s “there’s no version without it”. And one day, you pay extra to turn the noise off.
