The idea is to introduce the option of renting gifts for stars, with the role displayed as “lessor” instead of the usual “owner.” This distinction helps prevent fraud by making it clear that the gift is rented rather than owned by the user.

However, while this protects against scams, it also undermines the very purpose of showing off — because many who rent usernames or anonymous numbers mainly to show off share the same motivation when it comes to renting gifts.
