I’ve discussed in the past how there is a huge amount of disinformation surrounding Gnosticism. ‘Gnostic’ researcher and writer Laurence Galian in his book ‘Alien Parasites’ correctly acknowledges the earth as a divine entity and his message is life-affirming rather than that of "anti-cosmic dualism” however we can see from the following quote that Galian is potentially infusing disinformation into his work regarding the relationship between Gnosticism and the Kabbalah.

Notes on Pan and Apollo; a conflict of instinct and intellect
The Great God Pan and Apollo represent diametrically different views of the world, depicting the conflict between nature and civilisation, instinct and the intellect. Within Greek mythology, Marsyas was a Pan-like nature spirit whom Apollo flayed alive because he played the flute better than the solar deity did. The myth reveals to us just how brutal the intellect can be when it assumes superiority over human instincts. Each of the Greek gods has its Roman equivalents, except for Apollo. When the Greek divinities migrated into the Roman psyche, Apollo remained himself however he did not remain entirely unchanged.
Gradually Apollo, the solar deity who opposed the nature spirits and the serpentine wisdom of the earth attuned oracles morphed into Christ, and Christ became the supreme Greco-Roman deity that was enshrined in the state-supported cult of the Divine Redeemer. This mythic metamorphosis was one of the most fateful events ever to unfold in the spiritual life of the European peoples. The aftereffects of this event upon the collective psyche of the human species have been disastrous.
Apollo can appear to defeat all the gods of nature because this deity is imagined to come from outside nature and beyond the sensorial world. The god Apollo reflects the human glorification of intellect as a force both separate and independent of the body. The Latin word Phoebus is not a substitute name for Apollo, but only for his primary attribute, the sunlike radiance of the body-free intellect. The British classical scholar, linguist and historian of Ancient Greek religion Jane Ellen Harrison explains that Phoebus indicated;
"The sun-calendar with all its attendant moralities of law and order and symmetry and rhythm and light and reason, the qualities we are apt too readily to lump together as Greek”.
We can see how Greek intellectualism and ‘civilisation’ severing our connection to nature prepared the way for Christian theology with the triumphant merger of Christ and Apollo. It’s interesting to note that this shift to the solar calendar in the Western world correlates with the shift away from instincts toward the intellect.
Within occult symbology, the left hemisphere of the brain is represented as the masculine solar aspect. This part of the brain can be loosely described as governing the intellect. In general, the left hemisphere of the brain is what governs logic, analytical thought and scientific and mathematical thinking. This part of the brain is responsible for linear thought processes, breaking components and objects into smaller forms and carefully analysing the pieces. Unfortunately, imbalance towards the solar aspect can eventually result in atheism, scientism and rigid scepticism.

He accomplished much in his short life in bringing Sophianic philosophy to the Russian people.
