After a genocide which killed up to 3 million Bangladeshis, independent Bangladesh🇧🇩 was born

During the Bangladesh Liberation War, US President Nixon sent the USS Enterprise to the Bay of Bengal in a nuclear threat to India

The USSR responded by sending 2 groups of nuclear-armed ships and a submarine to ensure the US would not strike India for backing Bangladeshi forces

At least 21 have been killed in the coup regime’s crackdown with at least 646 injured.
