On this day in 1926, Cuban🇨🇺 Revolutionary Fidel Castro was born. He would lead a campaign to overthrow the US-backed dictator Fulgencio Batista. Before the revolution, US financial interests owned 90% of Cuba’s mines, 80% of public utilities, 50% of railways, 40% of sugar production & 25% of bank deposits.

In the first 30 months after Castro came to power, more classrooms were built in those 30 months than had been built in the previous 30 years. Within the first 6 months , 600 miles of road had been built across the island, while $300 million was spent on water and sanitation schemes. Over 800 houses were constructed every month in the early years of the administration in a measure to cut homelessness.

Cuban healthcare was nationalised and expanded, bringing free healthcare access to millions. Universal vaccination for childhood diseases was introduced, leading to infant mortality rates plummeting. Since 1963, more than 600K Cuban health workers have provided medical services in more than 160 countries.

Julian Assange:

“A great number of those working for liberal causes are not only shy but borderline collusive. They want change to happen nicely, and it won't. They want decency to come about without anybody suffering or being embarrassed, and it won't. And most of all they want to give many of the enemies of open government the benefit of the doubt, and I don't. It's not just a difference of approach, it's a complete schism in our respective philosophy. You can't go about disclosure in the hope that it won't spoil anybody's dinner.”

On this day in 1947, Britain🇬🇧 partitioned India🇮🇳 to create the new states of India and Pakistan.

For decades, Britain fuelled religious tensions between Hindus & Muslims to undermine the Indian independence movement with divide and rule tactics, placing an emphasis on religion and caste like never before. Britain’s disastrous partition of India led to 1 million people being killed in the violence and mass migration. 10-20 million people were displaced.

Winston Churchill backed the plan to partition the country, believing that an Islamic Pakistan would serve as a loyal Western vassal against the Soviet Union and a socialist India.

In a further disaster of partition, Britain drew Pakistan’s borders to include Bangladesh. With Pakistan’s Jinnah set on enforcing Urdu as the sole national language, the effort to suppress Bengali and treating Bengalis as second-class citizens would boil over less than 2 decades later in 1971 when Pakistan’s Army would commit a genocide against Bangladesh, killing 3 million

DE-DOLLARISATION 💵:

India🇮🇳 has made its first payment for crude oil to the UAE🇦🇪 in rupees.

In July, India signed an agreement with the UAE to settle bilateral trade in rupees instead of dollars, eliminating dollar conversion costs.

Throughout all of Africa, the US🇺🇸 State Department counted just 9 terrorist attacks in 2002 and 2003, the first years of US counterterrorism assistance to Niger🇳🇪.

Last year, the number of violent events in Burkina Faso, Mali and Western Niger alone reached 2737 (Africa Center for Strategic Studies), a jump of more than 30,000%. During 2002-2003, terrorists caused 23 casualties in Africa. In 2022, in just 3 of these nations in the Sahel, 7900 people were killed.

The US has spent $500 million since 2012 in Niger to ‘fight terrorism’. Why is wherever the US and its allies go to ‘fight terrorism’, terrorism becomes an even bigger threat than it was before?

ICYMI: Ukraine’s🇺🇦 President Zelensky has decided it would be a great idea to meet with Andriy Biletsk, founder of the neo-Nazi Azov Battalion, who once pledged to “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade…against Semite-led Untermenschen.”

During a Patriots of Ukraine meeting in 2009, Biletsky rambled: “How can we describe our enemy? The authorities and the oligarchs. Do they have anything in common? Yes, they have one thing in common: they are Jews, or behind them are their real masters, Jews.”

Yet the US and Western Europe continue to deny their previous reports that Ukraine has a dangerous, armed neo-Nazi problem and insist the danger of the Ukrainian far-right, now armed with the most sophisticated weaponry in NATO’s arsenal, is not a problem because the President of Ukraine has Jewish heritage.

Financial Times: China🇨🇳 wants BRICS to become a full-scale rival to the G7.

“If we expand the BRICS so that it accounts for the same share of global GDP as the G7, then our collective voice in the world will become stronger,” a Chinese official told the publication.

China and Russia understanding that BRICS is the battle between the old world and the new world, while Brazil🇧🇷, India🇮🇳 and South Africa🇿🇦 to varying degrees still are trying to keep a foot in the boat of the old world which exploited, and continues to exploit them?

HUGE NEWS, 6 NEW BRICS MEMBERS: Saudi Arabia🇸🇦, UAE🇦🇪, Iran🇮🇷, Egypt🇪🇬, Ethiopia🇪🇹 and Argentina🇦🇷 will join BRICS as of 01/01/2024!

The Middle East firmly joins the multipolar world and the second biggest economy in Latin America will join the bloc. African representation strengthens with the membership of Ethiopia.

6 of the 9 largest oil producers will be a part of BRICS.

While the US continues to try and foment tension in the Middle East, the BRICS bloc opens up another avenue for dialogue and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, after the Beijing-brokered peace deal between the two nations.

A history-making day which sees the multipolar world cemented, US hegemony in spiralling in decline, the petrodollar under serious threat, and the G7 becoming increasingly irrelevant?

NATO’s Stoltenberg: Russia🇷🇺 conveyed before February 2022 that war could be avoided if NATO membership for Ukraine was off the table, and if NATO committed to no further expansion.

Yet the masses in the US, EU & UK are told this war was unprovoked, despite over a decade of warnings from many voices that NATO membership for Ukraine and NATO encircling Russia would eventually cause a war

On this day in 2001, President George W. Bush declares a ‘war on terror’ in front of a joint session of Congress a few days after the 9/11 attacks.

At least 37 million people would be displaced in the US’ global war on terror in the coming two decades. Afghanistan would be invaded, 1 million Iraqis would die after Iraq was attacked and occupied based on lies, and many other countries would be bombed with the global reach of the US’ drone program.

Despite incomprehensible numbers of death, displacement and injury, as well as the wholesale destruction of entire countries, no high-ranking US official has been charged with any war crimes.

Syria’s🇸🇾 President Bashar Al-Assad arrives in China🇨🇳 on a state visit. Syria is part of China’s Belt & Road Initiative and China is expected to play a crucial role in the future reconstruction and development of Syria.

US sanctions and the US occupation of Syria’s oil fields have driven 90% of Syrians into poverty and the country continues to face a fuel shortage, as the government has no access to the oil fields occupied by US troops.

A simple question US and European media won’t ask:

Why did Zelensky, Ukraine’s Jewish President, join a standing ovation in Canada’s Parliament for a 98-year-old veteran of the Waffen SS Galicia, which along with the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, helped Nazi Germany exterminate Jews and Poles in Ukraine?
