Google has optimized Google Drive, Docs, and other Workspace apps for Android tablets.
If you've already forgotten, at Google I/O 2022, the company said that it will update more than 20 of its apps with optimizations for tablets. And now Google has officially announced that Google Drive, Docs/Sheets/Slides and Keep will now get updates that improve multitasking on Android tablets.
This mainly concerns the ability to drag and drop between apps when you're working in split-screen mode. However, Google Docs, Presentations and Drive will also add support for keyboard shortcuts when an external keyboard is connected to your tablet.
In addition, Google Drive will now be able to open in two windows, just like Chrome. To do this simply select the three-dot menu on any Drive file and tap on the "Open in new window" option.

An insider has revealed the release date for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
According to Front Page Tech, a resource better known for insider Jon Prosser, their "very reputable sources" say that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be available for pre-order as early as October 6 - which is probably the date of the annual Made by Google presentation - and the devices will officially be available on October 13.

Google has already published information about security vulnerabilities fixed in Android 13. It also mentions that Android 13 will have a default security patch level of 2022-09-01 (i.e. September).
The company also published the Android Security Bulletin of August 2022 and the Pixel Update Bulletin of August 2022. (Summary of vulnerabilities fixed in the August patch). That said, they don't mention Android 13.
And as of now, there are no AOSP sources or the updates themselves. When they will come out is not specified. But I think you get the whole point about Android 13.

This update is still based on the July patch (June for Pixel 6a) and is intended to "fix GPS location failure under certain conditions."

Android 13 users now receive the Game Dashboard integrated into Google Play Services.
In Android 13, Google has removed the Game Dashboard from the Pixel SystemUI and started working on moving it to Google Play Services, as Mishaal Rahman noted earlier. This change was then noted to the changelog for the July Google Play system update.
As stated, the Game Dashboard becomes available in Google Play Services v.22.30 and newer.
You can find its settings by going to Settings/Google/Game Dashboard. Or open them directly from the game Dashboard.

Developer The Lunarixus found a display identifier in the Pixel 6a firmware code that matches the Pixel 6 - S6E3FC3. Based on this, he concluded that the panels of the devices are the same, and that Google limits the refresh rate with an upper threshold of 60 Hz. After that, the developer build a mod and demonstrated the works of the display with 90 Hz refresh rate.
But as Kuba Wojciechowski pointed out, it more like display controller and driver, not the panel itself. Therefore, this mod looks more like an overclock. In addition, it does not work on all models of the Pixel 6a. For example, on Mishaal Rahman's device when switching to 90 Hz, it shows only a blank screen.
I wouldn't recommend this sort of mods because who knows what will happen to your display after a while.

In case you've forgotten, Android 13 adds new API that allow you to adjust the flashlight brightness (more info on Esper Blog). Although the information appeared 5 months ago, but better late than never. We have built an app that will allow you to test this feature.
But with one caveat: the brightness adjustment of the flashlight is only available on the Pixel 6, 6 Pro and 6a (also Galaxy S22 on One UI 5 beta) because they support the new version of Camera HAL. Owners of these devices who have installed Android 13 can download our app and use it to adjust the brightness of the flashlight.
