A leaked Pixel Watch 2 promo video reveals the new features of the smartwatch.
Kamila Wojciechowska (via 91mobiles), shared a promo video showing the full design and features of the Pixel Watch 2:
• New Heart Rate Sensor: New Fitbit’s multi-path heart rate sensor that is said to offer more accurate and robust hear-rate measurement even during vigorous exercise.
• Fitbit's Stress Management System, which detects stress in the user's body via body-response tracking. In such situations, you will be prompted to record your current mood and offered recommendations such as doing a breathing exercise or going for a walk.
• Google will use body-response tracking inputs from cEDA (continuous electrodermal activity – microscopic beads of sweat) heart-rate variability, heart rate and skin temperature to help detect stress.
• Recognizing seven types of workouts. Also, the watch will automatically send reminders to start and stop a workout. Another fitness feature is Pace Training that will keep your pace in check
• Updated safety features include Safety Check and Emergency Sharing;
• Battery life remains the same compared to the Pixel Watch.
The Pixel Watch 2 has a redesigned back panel that houses three new sensors. The watch will be available in four color combinations: Polished Silver/Bay, Matte Black/Obsidian, Champagne Gold/Hazel and Polished Silver/Porcelain. Google's Podcasts will shut down in 2024 in favor of Podcasts on YouTube Music.
Earlier this year, Google launched the ability to watch and listen to podcasts on YouTube Music in the US, with no paid subnoscription required. According to Edison, about 23% of weekly podcast users in the US say YouTube is their most frequently used service, compared to just 4% for Google Podcasts.
Thus, the company has decided to shut down the Google Podcasts service and focus only on Podcasts on YouTube Music. At the same time, Google plans to make Podcasts on YouTube Music available globally by the end of 2023.
End users will get a simple migration tool and the ability to add RSS feeds of podcasts to their YouTube Music library, including shows not currently hosted on YouTube. For those who prefer a different listening platform, the tools will also include an option to download an OPML file of their show subnoscriptions, which they can upload to an app that supports their import.
For podcast authors, this means providing robust creation and analytics tools, as well as RSS uploads. Plus, your podcasts will be available wherever YouTube Music is available.
In the coming weeks and months, Google will be gathering feedback to make the process of switching from Google Podcasts to YouTube Music as simple and convenient as possible. Google will then release the migration tools along with a clear guide on how they work.
