Another full house at TYC last week. I've been doing standup comedy in Toronto since 2016. I've performed at many shows and met many comedians some of which are successful in their own right. But I can't stress enough that what I do and what I'm about is unlike anything in this city or country. There have been shows that styled themselves as dark/dirty and no disrespect to them but very few actually managed to live up to that. As of right now I'm the only one running a show that truly values the freedom of speech to joke about whatever you want. I actively search out comics with fringe beliefs and who consistently say slurs on stage. I dont shy away from it while every other "dark/dirty show" presently in the city bans those types of comics. If you aren't enjoying this historic experience while you still can you're basically a hylic and its not for you anyway.
