We are in the final stages of beta testing the new update :) SO CLOSE!
Just so everyone knows, we are ready for release, but we are giving the translators time to go through all the new text (41 new strings..... takes a little bit). Once we have a few of the translations ready, we will release the new update :)
HERE IT IS EVERYONE, Werewolf Bot 2.1!
With this update, we are adding in 4 new roles!

Doppelgänger (starts at 22 players):
Your ancestors had the ability to metamorph into others... while you don't have their full abilities, you can pick a player at the start of the game. If that player dies, you will become what they were.
Note: If the player was converted to cult, you will take on their original role. All other normal rules apply: If they were Wild Child and their role model died, you will become a wolf. Otherwise, you will inherit their role model.
The cult cannot convert the Doppelgänger (but can after the doppelganger switches roles). Also - the Doppelgänger can NOT win unless they have transformed. If at the end of the game, the Doppelgänger is still the same, they lose (exception: lover)

Cupid (starts at 23 players):
Love is in the air. As Cupid, you will choose two players at the start of the game. These two players will become madly in love! If one of them dies, the other will die of sorrow :(
Note: Lovers will know who each other are, but not be told their roles. If the lovers are the last two alive, they win, regardless of teams. If the lovers are on different teams (villager + wolf), and one team wins (wolf), the lover (villager) wins as well. TL;DR if both lovers are alive at the end, and at least one of them was on the winning team, they both win together

Hunter (starts at 24 players):
A trigger happy, vindictive player. As the hunter, you try to keep to yourself. However, when others come to visit you, they may find themselves dead, as your paranoia takes hold and you shoot. If the wolves attack you, you have a chance to take one of them with you. Otherwise, if you die, you will get a chance to shoot someone as you die.
Note: For wolf attacks, the chance starts at 30%. If there is one wolf, the hunter has a 30% chance to kill the wolf (and survive). For each additional wolf, add 20% (2 wolves = 50%, 3 = 70%, etc). However - if there are multiple wolves, while you may kill one of them, you will still be outnumbered and killed.
If the cult tries to convert you, they have a 50% chance to fail. If they fail, you have a 50% chance to kill one of them!

Serial Killer (starts at 25 players):
That asylum was silly anyways. What a joke. You are free now however, back to business as usual - killing! The serial killer is a lone player, on their own team. They can win only if they are the last player alive (exception: lovers). As the serial killer, you can kill ANYONE - wolves, hunters, gunners, guardian angels, whatever. If the wolves try to attack you, you will kill one of them (random), and live.

Side note: In chaos games, there will be no cult unless there are more than 10 players. Cult in small games is too powerful (>50% win ratio)

PSA:
Just to explain how things work a little bit. When the bot sends you a menu, the Telegram API returns a response with the message ID. I then store that message ID so I can later send the "Time's Up" message if I need to. Until I get the response from the Telegram server with the info I need to store, the question is not registered. So when you click the menu button and get the "q was null" error - it means the bot hasn't gotten the reply yet. Wait a couple seconds, and try again.

TL;DR: Please, do not hit your vote menu choice 15 times in a second. It's really not necessary, and isn't going to "magically" make anything work.
I saw comments in support about it's "fun to force the bot"..... you aren't forcing anything, it's not magic, you just have to let it do it's thing.

If the game has cupid / DG / WC, the first night voting time will be extended to 120 seconds. This is to allow special roles extra time to make their choices (especially cupid). Subsequent nights after that will have the normal night voting time as configured by admins.

Fixed issue where cult attempting to convert hunter -> gets killed by hunter displays Cult Hunter message, not Hunter message.
Also, in same instance, Cult death will be sent to the group as well

New game endings for SK + Hunter, SK + <anyone else>, and no one left alive

Fixed an issue where hunter survives a solo wolf attack, but it still told they were killed

Made a lot of changes to the backend. SQL usage and CPU usage have been lowered dramatically, which will result in less lag
The error in the cantonese language file has been patched.

Players lists are now sorted:
In vote menus (PM) players will be sorted by name
In /players, they will be sorted in the order they died
There currently appears to be a major issue going around Telegram where some users appear as "Unknown" to some, but normal to others. Because of this, the bot sees some people as "Unknown" and cannot PM you or even respond to you. There's is nothing I can do about this - this is on Telegram side. I apologize for the issues, but you will need to wait for Telegram to sort it out
There is a possible fix. If you cannot talk to the bot, please try changing your username (@name) - you can even set it to the same thing you were using before.
