Notice: We are going to start the process of retiring @werewolfIIbot (Bot 2). We no longer need it, and it's just eating up resources on the server to have an extra bot (werewolves are hungry!). In a short while, any attempt to start a game on Bot 2 will result in it directing you to Bot 1 (@werewolfbot).

If you are not currently in a game (in your group), and you have Bot 2 in the group, go ahead and remove it and replace with Bot 1 (@werewolfbot)

A new build is being created to revert a commit which is causing HTML to be sent by the bot. Fix will be out very shortly

The fix has been released, but unfortunately not before a few hundred games were started on v4.1.6205.16630

By the way, if Bot 2 has left your group, but you still see the autocomplete commands (/newgame, /join), this is a Telegram client bug. Please restart your client, it should update properly.

@werewolfIIbot is officially offline now. Again, if you were using it, switch to @werewolfbot

Some of you may have already noticed that there is a new /extend command.

Admins can use /extend <seconds> to extend the joining time by that number of seconds. You can extend by a maximum 300 seconds; in any case, the joining time cannot be more than 10 minutes. Negative values are also allowed to decrease the time.
Also, admins will find in /config an option to enable /extend for non-admins: however, they won't be able to extend more than once per game, nor by negative values.

Hi everyone. Some of you will start seeing the bot sending a message saying "Message to long, please decrease the number of characters used".

No we arent twitter but the telegram api limits the bot based on the size of messages sent and messages over 1024 characters will now recieve that response instead of the actual message.

Please adjust your saved /rules, /welcome messages as needed. This sadly has to be implemented as some people have been sending essays through the bot and ruining the experiance for the other 10000 users.

Sorry, apparently some people are confused. The beta slots are for Coup, not Werewolf. Coup is a new game we at Grey Wolf are working on. You should definitely look it up (and buy a physical copy to support the original devs), as it is my absolute favourite game.

Some groups might see errors popping up within their games : index out of range.

This is the null theme for TDesktop. Clean, dark and with simple blue details.

For those wondering how to use themes, they are currently only available on Telegram Desktop alpha (until Telegram fully releases)
