[Unable to use bots]

Telegram is currently experiancing a blackout in some of there Datacenters. Due to this blackout some groups are going to be unable to send messages to @werewolfbot.

Luckily @werewolfgame has a working connection to the bot so feel free to play there.

We've heard reports that in some groups, a user is unable to join a game if they have been restricted by the new admin settings Telegram recently released.

The problem here is that if the bot is not an admin, then when the bot checks if they are a group member, the API tells them no, this user has left the chat, even though they are in fact in the chat. This only applies to restricted users in groups where the bot is not an admin.

Currently, the workaround is to make werewolfbot an admin in your group, so that way it can get the correct status.

Sample from API:

You don't have to give it full admin rights - just a single permission will allow the bot to see the correct user status

[Indonesian Goverment Blocking Telegram]

So it has come to our attention that the indonesian goverment has started to block telegram from working.

There is a very way to get around this. If you download tor on your desktop or mobile device here https://www.torproject.org/download/download-easy.html.en
and then use web.telegram.org they will be unable to block your telegram traffic. The connection will just be slower sadly.

When the site first loads it may be blank, this is because noscripts are disabled.

To enable noscripts click the S at the top left next to the onion and click Allow noscripts globally.
The page will reload and you should see Telegram sign in.

Hey everyone.

Sorry due to a glitch in the bangroup system. The enforcer bots, @enforcerbot and @enforcedbot left a huge amount of groups.
It did not leave intentionally so please add it back.

It appears groups like @wwgabut exist which add bots to groups and then spam them to take them offline.

When banning that group from enforcer and werewolf I made a mistake and enforcer left a lot of groups.

So why dont you join @wwgabut and make there lives hell. Just a suggestion

Grouplist is working again. We are still seeing that a lot of groups are not setting the link. Please send /setlink@werewolfbot <link of your group> in your group, so that the bot can get to know your link. If you do, you will probably enjoy the next update ;)

Note: you might not need it if your group is public and you have a username. Still, do try.

Note 2: Remember that the grouplist refreshes every 20 minutes. If you used to appear there, and you setlink and still not see your group in the grouplist, just wait 20 minutes.

Big update!

1. You can now finally set Random Mode in /config. If you enable Random Mode, everytime you start a new game, the bot will randomly decide if it is a Chaos game, if it is a Secret game, if the Lynching will be secret, and if Tanner, Cult and Fool are allowed in the game.

2. New grouplist! Now grouplist is not based on members, but we have an algorithm that will rank the groups and order them by activeness. Note that the algorithm is run every week, so if you want to go upper you need your group to be more active within a week.
Unlike before, all groups are included: if you set the link in werewolfbot, you will be included in the ranking. Note also that you will be included in the ranking of all the variants you have played. If you want to be removed from a specific language, or globally, please go to @werewolfsupport, and ask an admin to be removed from grouplist.

Please note that the current grouplist is not completely ranked yet. The actually ranked groups are on top, but, currently, only few groups per language are really ranked. The others are ordered randomly.

You might not have got a ranking yet if you
1. didn't /setlink@werewolfbot (make sure that @werewolfbot answers to that command, otherwise it means it didn't go through), and/or
2. you didn't play any game since the update.

Remember you have to wait 20 minutes for the changes to have effect on the grouplist.


And, yes, this means that if you do this with a language which you played at least once last week, and where less than 10 groups are ranked, you get immediately on top.

Hi everyone.

So it has come to our attention that users on Smart and PLDT networks in the Phillipines are no longer able to access Telegram.

[Werewolf grouplist]

The grouplist is still almost unranked! At this point, you can easily get to the top of the grouplist of a language by simply
1. Doing /setlink@werewolfbot
2. Playing a game in that language
not necessarily in this order.

Here you can find a table of the number of groups that have been ranked under the various languages. If your language has less than 10 groups ranked, as soon as you complete the two steps, you get in the grouplist. Note that you are conted in every language you played during the last week.

[Werewolf: Group spam]

It has come to our attention that some groups are spamming ads & links, in private and in other groups; some others are adding random people to their group without even asking.
We cannot either allow or accept these behaviours, because we do care about the order in the groups that use our bots, and we care about the users that are victims of spam and adds.
For these reasons, a big persian group called "🇮🇷 мαƒiα IR 🇮🇷", which was reported multiple times, has just been banned. Please, if you know about these cases of spam, or you are a victim, do report us the group, and we will take action if needed.

Addendum:
Spamming me is NOT a good way to get your group relisted / unbanned. It will only cause me to report YOU as spam. I'd suggest it stops. To the multiple people who just copy / pasted the same thing to me, while I'm at work trying to get things done, I have reported as spam, because that is EXACTLY what you are doing to me.

Normally I will hear people out and give them a chance to explain / correct actions / whatever, but if you are all going to spam me, I'm just going to block you
