Hello everyone,I’m excited to present our project — Smart Campus Delivery System.

On university campuses, students often struggle to order food, groceries, or stationery efficiently. Shop owners have difficulty managing multiple orders, and delivery drivers don’t have an organized system for tracking or fulfilling deliveries.

Our goal was to create a unified platform that connects students, shop owners, and delivery drivers — all within a smart ecosystem designed specifically for campus environments.

Here’s how it works:

Students can browse nearby shops, add items to their cart, and place orders easily.

The delivery fee is calculated automatically using the Haversine formula, which measures distance between the shop and the student’s location.

Shop owners get their own dashboard to manage products, handle incoming orders, and update their shop details.

Delivery drivers have access to a dedicated portal where they can view assigned deliveries, update statuses, and complete orders efficiently.

And finally, the admin oversees the entire platform — managing users, shops, and system data from one place.

For the technology stack, we used:

Frontend: React.js, Tailwind CSS, and Framer Motion for smooth UI and animations.

Backend: Node.js with Express.js for building a robust REST API.

Database: MongoDB with Mongoose for flexible data modeling.

Authentication: JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with secure middleware protection.

API Testing: Postman for endpoint validation.

Version Control: Git and GitHub for collaboration.

Together, this system delivers an efficient, tech-driven solution that simplifies life for students and brings structure to campus deliveries.

In short — Smart Campus Delivery System makes campus commerce faster, smarter, and more connected.
