The people that say that Americans (read: White people with AR15s on US soil) are irresponsible with firearms, they simply don't do math. For a country of 336 million people, America's homicide rate with rifles is impressively low — and we all already know that most all gun crime in America is committed with handguns in the hands of blacks. Rifles tend to be owned more by White gun owners, so the number of civilian owned rifles is a good-enough-for-us approximation of White firearms owners in America. The consensus is that of rifles owned by American civilians, the AR15 is the most popular and it's somewhere in the ball park of 30 million — I think the actual number is much higher, and on top of that people own AK variants and other varieties of "assault rifles." But let's go with 30 million so we can find the highest possible yearly homicide rate with AR15s (Whitey's gun of choice).

The average yearly rate of homicides with ALL RIFLES per year in the USA is 439 — but let's assume all homicides were done with an AR15 — that means that of those 30 Million AR15s in American civilian hands, 0.001463 % per year were involved in a homicide. Read that again: 0.001463% fucking percent per year.

The left is saying that Americans are irresponsible with "assault rifles" because the homicide rate with AR15s is, at its worst, 0.001463% per year. And again, we excluded all other rifles, so that number is actually far lower.

But they want to take away "whitey's assault rifles" because of 0.001463%.
