I’m not convinced there’s really much of a difference between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, the only difference perhaps is whether Democrats or Republicans will throw an absolute tantrum if their party fails to win this presidential race.

Both candidates support Israel, Trump is just more vocal about it. Kamala’s party had pro-Palestine protestors thrown out of the DNC.

Both want to replace Americans, it’s just a debate over legal vs illegal replacement migration.

Both will likely support Ukraine, so that’s good — yes, I believe Trump will support Ukraine, despite anything he says against supporting Ukraine. Remember, he’s a liar! 🤥

The only upside to a Trump presidency is that we get conservative judges in the Supreme Court, and that’s important for us Americans. Perhaps that’s the only good reason to vote for Trump.

No… Real food is affordable in the US, you just either have to cook the meal from scratch OR read the ingredients label on the back of whatever premade meals you buy here.

Corporations figured out a long time ago that most people don’t cook, and most people don’t read the ingredients label of premade snacks and meals.

Goyslop exists because most normies are too lazy to examine what they put in their mouth, and too busy working to cook a meal from scratch. Americans are a hard working but overworked people. We don’t have a sufficient culture of leisure that allows for things like cooking every meal from scratch.

But a collapse of the economy could force jobless masses to learn to cook their meals from scratch, as their ancestors did. I once heard that France’s culinary culture was, originally, a product of poverty.

I think one major reason why Americans are so fat is because so many were raised by boomers that blindly trusted corporations and government institutions. They ate whatever was shoved in front of their face, they still believe in “low fat diets” and the food pyramid. Boomers care about cheap calories above all, because their parents were traumatized survivors of the Great Depression.

“Why would a major corporation put unhealthy chemicals in my food?” The boomer says, if you press them on the subject. My boomer mother thinks fluoride in the tap water is okay for her stomach, just because fluoride is good for her teeth. And she doesn’t think about what else could be in the tap water. Boomers don’t think…

To this day, my mother says it’s important to finish your plate, because people are starving in Africa, and then she’ll tell some story about her mother going to bed hungry during the Great Depression. That’s how boomers raised us.

Not that long ago — the 1980s or even the late 90s —Americans weren’t known for being particularly fat. The transportation infrastructure in the US had always revolved around motor vehicles long before then, ever since vehicle transportation was invented — so even in the 80s most Americans were driving everywhere. Americans would certainly benefit from more walking, they don’t get enough exercise of any kind. But, I don’t think a lack of walking is the main culprit of the obesity epidemic.

This is the problem

Another issue relating to the obesity epidemic in America is this debate over calories — is the culprit merely excess calorie consumption?

I once had an autistic acquaintance that had a degree in physics, and he would get insanely frustrated (and violently angry) at anyone that suggested that the quality of the food was even part of the problem behind the obesity epidemic in the US — because suggesting that it was anything other than excess calories would undermine thermodynamics.

I think this is worth discussing here.

The problem with the whole autistic calories-in-calories-out model is that it’s so focused on “weight loss” that it treats that human body as if it’s made out of nothing but fat — as if the body is nothing more than a fat storing and fat burning furnace, and that’s it! “No difference between healthy food and garbage because you’re just a fat furnace bro! It’s just thermodynamics!”

I’m not an expert on health or nutrition, but I’m pretty damn sure the body needs calories for all other functions, like maintaining muscle, blood and flesh. Body composition isn’t factored at all into the narrow-minded philosophy surrounding calories and “weight loss,” but I believe that is all by design to sell junk diets created by the health establishment and corporations. It’s easier to sell one dimensional notions than it is to educate people on ideas that require more holistic and critical thinking.
