I didn’t name myself HapaPerspective because I’m giving the “Hapa perspective,” I’m really not. There was another school shooting yesterday in Russia, and this perpetrator used a hunting rifle just like the last one. Russia already has very restrictive gun laws, which just goes to show that gun control doesn’t prevent these tragedies at all, not that it would be justified if it did. The important thing to recognize is the whole dynamic where the state never lets a good crisis go to waste when it can be used to curtail and eliminate rights. The previous school shooting in Russia was a few months ago, and that led to more gun control, just as this one will. The state doesn’t want you to be able to defend yourself, because that makes you less dependent on their system and potentially able to resist it. Having disarmed populations is what emboldens elites to go against the will of their people. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the covid-mandates are more totalitarian in countries with more stringent gun control, because armed populations are a fear factor for traitorous elites.

The elites know how shortsighted 99% of the population are, they have incredible foresight in comparison, so you can’t even begin to speculate what the elites are thinking or doing if your own thinking is shortsighted; you can’t see how they’re setting up your people. As cliche as it sounds, they know the best way to boil the frog is to turn the heat up gradually. When you think about the loss of your rights, gun control, etc... they’re greasing the skids for a smoother transition to naked tyranny, and the elites want minimal resistance when they go full throttle.

You have to think outside of the box of what’s going on in the present, in the here and now, to understand what they’re trying to do and where your people are headed.

The elites are taking away your rights first so that they can have more authority and legal precedent to really screw you over later, but some of you here are arguing that certain rights haven’t done anything for us yet, because our people aren’t using them right now.

Don’t be so foolish.

Some of you are basically arguing, “what good are legs to a frog if he won’t jump out of the pot that’s slowly being heated?”

That’s how the elites want you to think, because your people are the frog — you are the frog — and the elites are so clever that they can get you to convince yourself that your legs don’t even matter before the pot boils, so that you eliminate (or at least curtail) the possibility of jumping out when it does boil.

I’m starting to think more about status anxiety and how it’s probably a bigger factor behind virtue signaling and the whole SJW phenomenon. Living in an urban environment exacerbates status anxiety and degrades self-worth, which is where you typically see a much higher concentration liberals and virtue signaling — and add to that the pervasiveness of social media, which also induces status anxiety. Imagine being a middle class midwit, living in an urban environment, constantly having to be around people that have higher economic/social status, that are visibly having a better life than you — of course you would feel insecure about it. But how could you bring your own status up to par? In that context, showing you’re a more “virtuous” person would be the only route, it would make you feel more equal — or at least better about yourself relative to them — despite having less status in other areas of your life. Notice that liberals also do this through world travel, trying to show how cosmopolitan and “well traveled” they are via social media selfies in other countries, no matter how vapid and touristy the actual experience is. Without social media, I don’t think half as many people would claim to care about being “well traveled.”

This would explain why liberals care so little about truth, logic and consistency. It’s not what they say that really matters, it’s why they’re saying it, and why they “think” they believe the things they claim to.

Contrast this with a man that lives in the countryside and only sees a handful of people on a daily basis. He doesn’t suffer from status anxiety, he has fewer people to prove anything to, so he has little need to virtue signal, hence why you rarely find liberals in the rural countryside.

UPDATE: A 2021 study (published five days ago) has successfully confirmed the relationship between Jomon and Ancient North Siberians.
