I was listening to the stream, and the Zman criticized Europeans for being too interested in the Rittenhouse case, because “they don’t have a gun culture nor a self defense culture.” I respectfully disagree.

But are gun rights and the right to self defense even a cultural issue? No, both are a moral issue.

Gun culture can’t even exist without legal gun rights, and whatever rights you are allowed to exercise in your country are dictated by law. That is no fault of the European citizen that had no say in the matter.

When someone talks about who does or doesn’t have a “gun culture,” remind them that it’s not a matter of culture, it’s about rights and therefore it’s a moral issue. Gun control being imposed on your people is immoral, regardless of whatever culture you have. I think some Europeans are looking at America and the Rittenhouse situation, surely with envy, because hopefully they’re waking up to this understanding that it’s morally righteous to have the means to self defense, especially on par with what the military has given the tyranny they’re experiencing.

It’s so insanely short sighted to think that the right to keep and bear arms doesn’t really matter, because it’s tantamount to giving up your real bargaining power (fear, and parity against their force) and then expecting the system to continue respecting you and giving into your reasonable arguments.

That kid has been through so much, so many people on the left openly want to kill him... He’ll say anything to try to get out of their crosshairs and appease the left enough to be left alone. Can you blame Kyle for just saying whatever to try to get leftists to leave him alone? It probably won’t work for him, but he’s not old/experienced enough to know that the left never forgives.
