The dissident right is split yet again, this time because of the conflict in Ukraine. The Putin simp faction expects you to side with Russia and “based Putin,” but if you dare to question some of Putin’s policies, statements and connections, they attack you. The Putin simps cannot seem to fathom that anyone, especially a world leader, is not above fair criticism and a healthy amount of skepticism. The Putin simps constantly straw man us, but they can’t claim that we support Ukraine or NATO, because no one in the DR does, so why do they continue to attack us? Can’t we all be on the same team again and have a discussion? Unfortunately not, because this whole debate really boils down to “simp for BASED Putin, because my theoretical dogma says so” vs “maybe Putin is a questionable character, let’s see the evidence.” The Putin simp faction of the DR is basically a cult, one engaged in infighting against anyone in the DR that doesn’t adhere to its rigid theory based dogma, which in turn only agitates the other side into doubling down on its criticism of Putin, but at least that criticism/skepticism is still based on empirical evidence rather than dogma based on theory.

Ohio is actually more based than Russia and Ukraine combined, and I don’t need a political theory to prove it. The only thing that makes Ohio less based is obesity.

👆 it’s a joke guys, but there’s actually some truth to this if you really think about. Would you rather be a poor Slav living somewhere in EE in some communist bloc apartment complex? Most Slavs are poor and/or hopelessly urbanite. I’d rather live in Ohio, the rural parts especially, I prefer rural American culture. Life isn’t perfect anywhere, everywhere has its pros and cons. To me, Ohio has more pros than most European countries.

The idea that "you are what you eat" is not only fundamental to Capitalism, but also belongs to the "tabula rasa" concept of man which lies behind Transhumanism.

It is based on the notion that one can choose to be who they are, they can define themselves, can be deconstructed and rebuilt according to their own boundaries. One is like a 'paper doll' with a selection of cut-out clothes and accessories that attack with folding tabs, all ready to choose one's identity.

With the transhumanism agenda, the plasticity of man is exacerbated, everything becomes a mod-con. You can add technology to your flesh and upgrade yourself, your vaccine is a 'top up' subnoscription service related to your digital ID, and this becomes even worse under a Social Credit system where your upgrades (accessories for your paper doll) define not only your identity, but your status in society too.

The next step of course is the Metaverse, where one can buy digital property, you can shop for digital accessories for your customisable avatar, all from the convenience (and sustainability don't forget!) of the pod. This is now who we are — the avatar, the paper doll.

In a recent stream, Thomas Baden Riess made an interesting point about some people within the movement thinking that a majority of Americans are either obese, gun-toting gluttons on mobility scooters or just culturally superficial and nihilistic individuals as depicted by Hollywood films. The sad thing is, this hyper exaggerated caricature of America influences their entire worldview, leading them to pick sides in geopolitical issues. It seems ridiculous, but I’ve encountered too many people online that are like this, people that have constructed their entire worldview based on memes and movies, and then when they get into political theories and philosophy, they use their more academic knowledge merely to rationalize that previous worldview that was already constructed by memes and movies about America — movies that were made by you-know-whos. It would be no different then letting a caricature of Russians as just vodka swilling gopniks guide your beliefs about them as a nation and culture, and then using that to inform your political beliefs.

Most of the individuals really trashing American culture/people have never set foot in America, much less outside of its major cities to really understand that it isn’t entirely what you see in memes or the trending and curated videos on YouTube. Most of America is rural, White and fairly conservative; it’s just unfortunate that it’s defined by these urban centers and urban populations, which are not an accurate reflection of most of the actual country.

Most of America is White and rural. In my view, rural Americans are a completely separate nation from urban Americans, they shouldn’t share a country.

If the government handed you a rifle to resist a foreign army, would you even know how to use it? Do you know how to zero a rifle? Do you know how to clear a jam? Do you understand effective range and different calibers? Could you use the gun effectively without having to think through every step?

See, this is why having a strong gun culture and gun rights matter, because otherwise you’re going think “I played counter-strike dude, I got this.”

"If you want to protect yourself, get a double-barrel shotgun. You don't need an AR-15. It's harder to aim, it's harder to use, and in fact, you don't need 30 rounds to protect yourself. Buy a shotgun. Buy a shotgun." -Joe Biden

Imagine an alternative universe where Putin was marching in to liberate Ukraine from an illegitimate Jewish tyranny. Instead, he's going in with the stated goal of "denazifying" Ukraine. 😑

This really is like an international Slavic version of Democrats vs Republicans. One more liberal and Jewish, but had stronger associations with cool paramilitaries like the KKK. The other nominally "conservative" and nationalist-presenting, but invoking the legacy of MLK and declaring Dems are the real racists.

⚔️ This is an interesting take, but one that intuitively makes sense if you understand how wars actually work: it’s more expensive for foreign conventional forces to fight guerrilla/militias forces defending their home turf with just small arms. It seems to me that most of Ukraine’s conventional professional army — especially its heavy equipment like tanks and air defense — have already been mostly wiped out, but the militias are bogging down the Russian army with just small arms and likely infantry-anti-tank weapons, making it more costly for the Russians to continue their invasion if they can’t take Kiev quickly enough.

https://news.1rj.ru/str/MilitantWire/124
⚔️ The Ukrainian resistance is outnumbered, outgunned, and totally outmatched by Russia’s conventional war machine: Russia has better military hardware and more of it, that means more/better armored vehicles, tanks, helicopters, air, anti-air, artillery and etc... They have everything better on paper.

BUT if the Ukrainian resistance can just manage to inflict painful casualties on the Russian forces, basically giving Russia what is called a Pyrrhic Victory — a victory so costly it might as well be defeat — it’ll yet again prove that militias formed out of the general population are the most cost effective fighting force — the biggest bang for the buck — especially for national defense.

This whole argument of “redneck militias with rifles can’t fight the military, they have tanks and planes!!!” will yet again be blown out of the fucking water, BTFOed yet again.

"The one advantage the Ukrainians have got is they're fighting for their own country on their soil. Secondly, it appears large numbers of civilians are volunteering to fight alongside the armed forces, and that may make any Russian attacks on urban areas more difficult."
