Remember what I said about militias increasingly becoming more important in warfare? In this video, the narrator makes the point that militias drawn from the civilian population have been surprisingly much more effective and decisive for the Ukrainian war effort than anyone imagined — they’re the ones taking out a lot of the Russian tanks in tiktok videos. These people aren’t “well trained veterans,” they’re just regular people like you that are learning on the job because their country has been invaded.

Nationalists that want an ethnostate need to take note of this: the benefit of gun rights is that a much larger percentage of your civilian population will already be well trained enough with firearms to be even more quickly mobilized than what Ukraine was able to pull off, which was a miracle. Any future ethnostates will have to have something like the 2nd Amendment and some sort of compulsory militia service for all males, because your ethnostate won’t have the titanic military budget that allows globalist powers like the USA or Russia to field a large standing professional army, especially when SHTF.

EDIT: You can appreciate this whole dynamic even if you support Russia in this conflict. I’m not saying any of this to be pro-Ukrainian.

The other reason why militias and a militia system/culture is so attractive to me is because I think it’s depressingly shameful for a nation to have any members of its male population lacking in the skills and access to the equipment necessary to protect their nation on their own terms; which is important to consider in an increasingly hostile world where as a race, Whites are already a global minority living under ridiculous amounts of tyranny and vilification from their own government. This should be obvious to anyone that preaches about concepts like “martial virtue.” Being able to defend your nation in a real martial capacity is a core part of male identity that is frighteningly lacking in so many males today, it’s no wonder their amygdalae are shriveling up — they aren’t going to appreciate martial virtue if they can’t exercise or stimulate that impulse beyond the realm of sports or video games.

If Russia was truly "based and anti-globalist" would they have been working closely with UNESCO and the World Bank to reform their educational system and promote ideas of tolerance, inclusivity, diversity, anti-racism, etc?

What has reoccurred to me is that this blame shifting is a leftist tactic that kills two birds with one stone. It’s obvious that the left wants more gun control because it knows that more gun control laws only effect the law abiding population (Whites), not to mention gun control empowers the left as a whole. But there’s an equally important reason that the left has for shifting the blame onto guns: it takes the focus away from race. If it’s “gun crime” then it’s magically not black crime, which is critical for guiding NPCs minds away from noticing forbidden patterns.

Joel has missed a very important point here.

As I explained here and added here, Christianity, following the De Jouvenel model (high-low against middle) of power, has been one of the most exemplary forces for not only national centralisation, but global centralisation.

Bede is absolutely correct, Christianity acted as a positive force in the creation of the unified English national identity, but he did not foresee that it would end up uniting us with the rest of the world, and eventually spinning off into new secular ideologies which would take its place. There is no way that Bede could ever have foreseen that most of the world's Christians would be African, nor that they would be the most pious.

Nationalism is a necessary compromise of power between the decentralisation of small scale petty tribalism and complete centralisation of tyrannical globalism. What amounted to a positive force in Bede's day for the unification of separate tribes (as well as offering regional leaders divine right of kingship and the privilege of the Roman Empire's support), eventually became an all-consuming vortex which transcended Nationalism.

If it cannot push against the tide of that centralising global vortex and maintain its expansion from ultimately destroying itself, then it becomes a force for harm in my opinion.

A lot of the annoyingly bad takes and shortsighted conclusions within DR are the result of a lack of imagination. Some people don’t realize how much more dangerous things could be, and likely will be in time. But these hyper black pilled DR folks don’t have the imagination to appreciate the few things that we do have right now working in our favor. They just see the gradual decline and curse everything good that we have for not automatically giving us a perfect world on a silver platter.

I guess it’s hard to appreciate a dam holding back a river of shit if you haven’t been drowned yet, so it’s easier for you to criticize it when you see a couple of cracks that are starting to leak, “see, these dams don’t do anything!”

Cultural genocide isn’t just brainwashing, propaganda as education or destruction of cultural artefacts. It entails the killing of the culture-bearing stratum of a nation.

“Denazification”, which is to say the destruction of Ukrainian national identity necessarily means killing the right-leaning part of Ukraine’s culture-bearing stratum.

I don’t trust Zemmour, but it’s great to hear this be declared with such conviction.

I sometimes wonder if the current dissident right itself is part of a greater psychological operation to demoralize and black-pill White men into surrendering all of their rights and giving up on their nation — I’ve often heard rightwing guys saying that they’d never defend their own community, even their own women, if it were militarily invaded by a foreign country.

The ruling class didn’t bring us clown world for clown world’s sake, they don’t really care about gay rights nor diversity, it’s just a means to an end, and one obvious goal for the ruling class is more control over everything, that means more control over you. When you look at it this way, it’s easy to see a situation where these hyper black-pilled people (as seen so often within the DR) will be made to feel so desperate that’ll give up all of their rights to that same ruling class (or anyone in power) in exchange for an end to this clown world. This leads you to wonder: maybe that was the whole point of clown world all along.

It’s like a pest control company introducing pests into your property so that later you’ll pay any price for their services. You’ll waiving every right your ancestors ever fought for to anyone that just promises to restore “order,” even if it’s a new world order.

Create a problem and some people will accept any solution, even if it’s ultimately worse for them than the original problem.

All the problems of "capitalism" identified by Leftists are really problems of industrial society as a whole, and these problems can be somewhat mitigated by things that preserve community and foster unity and pro-social behavior (religion, nationalism, traditional culture, etc.), all of which Leftists explicitly want to destroy.

Leftists just complain that they aren't the ones in the driving seat, and then tell everyone that if they were in the driving seat, they would create an even more pervasive, totalitarian, and centralized version of industrial society and then destroy all of the things that made society tolerable in the first place.

I’ve recently moved to a place where one is likelier to find Ukrainians than Russians, and so the running gag of me being mistaken (well… not really) for a Russian has been put on hold, and now people assume I’m Ukrainian.
I’ve found that this is mildly offensive, not because I dislike Ukrainians, but because I resent the implication that I, a fighting-age, able-bodied man, would leave my country at a time when it is at war. It is a kind of insult against my honor as a man.
